The rooms are cozy with Bukhari fitted in each rooms. If you want to try Swiss food with Red Panda draft beer, then try this Guest House. It is a quiet place to relax during the day time. From the apple orchard you could also enjoy the view of Jakar town and Jakar Dzong (Fortress).

As a member of a small photo tour, I stayed several nights at the Swiss Guest House. It quickly felt like home for several reasons. "Tricky," the female on-site manager, was incredibly warm and solicitous of our welfare. The food was much better than the typical Bhutanese hotel buffet. Then there were nice touches such as lighting the wood stoves...

Thank you so much for a wonderful three days in October 2016. Every one at the Swiss Guest House was so kind and thoughtful. All our needs and requests were attended to so promptly even though they had a full house. Pretty much every thing they serve here is home-made from the bread to the Gouda and Emmenthal Cheese, Honey,...

We arrived at the Swiss Guest House and were a little confused about the architecture and gardens. However the owners and staff made us very welcome, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the valley and the food was fabulous. It is a no fuss kind of place, almost all produce is home grown or at least local, there...

Swiss Guest House is a family affair. The owner came to Bhutan in the 70's to introduce and teach cheese-making to the country. His daughter-in-law runs things, and his son cooks. It's a marvelous collaboration! Wood-burning stoves warm the generously sized rooms, showers were hot (if a bit rustic). The marvelous food was a mix of Swiss/Italian influences with local...

This hotel property is started by a swiss person who is known as the pioneer of hotel hotel and dairy industry in Bhutan. A very nice, neat and clear hotel with a good service quality and that too at a reasonable prize. I recommend this hotel int he excellent category specially one should not miss the breakfast which they serve...

The road leading to this hotel could be a bit discouraging. It was pebbly and uneven and the van had to negotiate the bad road very very slowly and very carefully. But once we caught sight of the colorful buildings, we immediately felt relieved and welcomed. The Swiss Guest House would certainly get great marks for the size of the...

Bliss 1 - Bhutan, Bliss 2 - Bumthang and Bliss 3 - Swiss Guest House This guest house is not very upmarket when it comes to rooms but that is where the downsides of this place end. The food is all home made and organic right from your bread to jam to veggies and very different in taste. There is...

This is a rather incongruous guest house and a little jaded. The rooms are a short walk from the main building and you have to run the gauntlet of the local dog population (although they seemed pretty laid back until they started to bark in the early hours). On arrival, woodburning stoves had been lit in each room to heat...
