The room was fantastic—quiet, with a massive, super comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The design concept of the rooms was impressive, with thoughtful details and unique scents throughout the hotel that enhanced the overall experience. The twice-daily room service was an excellent touch, with staff even bringing us sleeping tea before bed.
The pool offered a stunning, dreamlike view and was always kept very clean. There were plenty of sun beds available, and we never had trouble finding one. The attention to detail from the staff around the pool was exceptional, with towels laid out for guests.
Occasionally, some trash would wash up on the beach, but the hotel staff quickly cleaned it up. This didn’t affect our experience, and we understand it’s something the hotel can’t control.
The breakfast was excellent, with a large variety of options, including a professional coffee machine for barista-quality espresso. The live piano music during breakfast added a lovely atmosphere. It was never too crowded, and there was always seating available inside or outside. The restaurants at the hotel were also superb, offering high-quality food. At the Indian restaurant, we were especially impressed when the chef personally came to our table to ask if we were happy with the food, which added a lovely personal touch. The Italian restaurant also stood out for its elegance. However, the prices for food and drink at the hotel were disproportionately high compared to other 5-star hotels in the country—sometimes double the price.
There were plenty of things to do, even on rainy days, with games, a library, and an art gallery to explore. The free bicycles and kayaks were a nice touch, and the gym was large, clean, and well-equipped. However, we did encounter one issue when we wanted to join a yoga class. We were told it was fully booked, but on the morning of the class, there were clearly free spots and mats available, which was not optimal. Luckily we were able to join a class two days later which was amazing.
The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and a well-kept garden in the courtyard. The staff, especially Phuc, Duyen, Yen, Khoi, Thrung, Ngoc, and the rest of the team, were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, providing top-tier service. The hotel’s boutique size was perfect—not too big or too small—giving it a cozy yet luxurious feel. We also appreciated the complimentary airport transfer, which made our trip seamless. Overall, the hotel was very clean, and the service throughout was outstanding. The location, while a bit far from the city, was close to the airport, which worked well for us.
All in all a wonderful experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Salinda resort for 5 days following a tour of mainland Vietnam, and had a great experience. On arrival at Phu Quoc airport we were met by a driver from the hotel in their courtesy car. From that point onwards we were extremely well looked after. On entering the calm reception area there is a nice fragrance throughout the whole of tranquil hotel. At reception we were taken down to the bar to complete the check-in. We we give a small selection of 4 fruit juices and cold towel to refresh ourselves and a very good explanation of the hotel facilities including a map.
Rooms are large and well appointed with a balcony with soft loungers. Everything in the rooms is of a good quality and stands head and shoulders above anywhere we've stayed at over the last 3 weeks in other hotel in Vietnam. Staff have been exceptional, very helpful and attentive, which has not always been the case in other places. Breakfasts are substantial. You can start with a sparkling wine if you like, before the staff show you to a table inside or outside of your choice, before they take your for tea or coffee and cooked eggs however you wanted them. All the breakfast stands were beautifully presented and again great quality. The hotel has 4 restaurants (Main, Pakka (Indian) & Mura (Italian) or Cyan by the beach viewing the sunset, which will suit all tastes. The hotel and spa offer a plethora of additional activities yoga, spa, cooking classes etc. Or just lounge by the infinity pool overlooking the sea and sunset, or even a beach BBQ. It has a small gym/ fitness centre to suit all workouts. The house resident band that we've heard at a few places in the hotel offer a good range of songs and music. A acoustic pair at the pool bar and a trio in the main bar. Both the women singers have great voices and they all play well together in a soft and gentle way to either listen or dance to. The pool area over looks to sea and again offers great unrestricted views of sunsets on the horizon. This is a long review and it deserves it. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world and we both agree this is one of our best, and would gladly return again. Overall this hotel is outstanding, you can find and stay at cheaper hotels if you want to, but for that bit extra you'll see a world of quality.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Large bright airy reception is a contrast to the tree lined avenue off the main drag as you approach the resort. An interesting assortment of welcome drink shots is a different take on Vietnamese hospitality. Our room was on the 1st of 3 main floors. Gorgeous separate shower in a good sized bathroom. There is an in room safe but there's no multi plug type electric sockets. The balcony was sufficient but seems crowded with the large seats and table, and there's a clothes airer. The bed is a close copy of a Westin heavenly bed and the wake up alarm was a disappointment to rouse us from our slumber - blissful!
Air-conditioning did a great job and never seemed to be noisy and intrusive. House keeping was superb and every evening a package of tea was left to aid with sleep. Always had plenty of drinking water provided.
We heard another guest saying that breakfast wouldn't disappoint, absolutely correct and great and varied choice will satisfy anyone. There was also a pianist providing some light music, however it's very loud if you sit too close inside as there is very little furnishings to soften noise.
The pool is a lovely temperature providing some respite from the heat. Sun loungers around the pool are tightly packed together as if insufficient space has been allocated for the purpose, this is a shame. Most loungers are covered by umbrella so it's easy to find shelter from the sun. If you do want full sun there are also a few loungers on the beach. Bar/restaurant service is summoned by raising a purple flag at the small table, service is prompt and efficient, with a good selection of drinks and snacks or meals. Id suggest taking water from your room if you order still water from the bar they provide imported Italian water, frankly an opportunity to over charge for a basic commodity. We ate and drunk in the Cyan bar on our first night for ease, however there are plenty of restaurants a close walk. My biggest complaint of this resort is other patrons, we had an evening meal and several breakfast disturbed by unruly children running amoc and the hotel staff appear paralysed to tackle it. I also think the hotel should institute a no ball policy there is a risk of a tranquil experience turning into a 18-30 or spring break holiday. That said I would consider returning to Salinda if I find myself on Phu Quoc again.

Our family had an amazing stay at Salinda Resort! The location is perfect—close to all necessary amenities and at a moderate distance from both the southern and northern parts of the island, where the main attractions are located.
The service was outstanding, with exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was excellent, served in a great atmosphere, and the beach bar offered fantastic cocktails. We loved the beautiful beach and the seawater pool, which added to the relaxing experience.
Our room was spotless and well-equipped, with thoughtful details like a selection of essential oils and different pillow options for extra comfort. The hotel is moderately sized, which creates a cozy, "home-like" ambiance, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
The staff was always ready to help, whether it was organizing excursions, arranging airport transfers, or simply making sure we had everything we needed.
We highly recommend Salinda Resort for families and will definitely be coming back!

The best hotel of the three that we were able to visit during this vacation in Phu Quoc. The room (we had the Pearl suit villa) was gorgeous. The villa in reality is even better than in the photo. For the first time in my life I was greeted with a bouquet of flowers, it was very nice. On March 8, at breakfasts, each woman was congratulated personally and given a rose. The staff is top notch. Breakfast is great! On the beach there are two towels for everyone, the staff covers the sunbed you choose, and you can change the towels endlessly. There are enough sun loungers by the pool and on the beach for everyone, even when the hotel is fully occupied. There are no crowds or queues in the restaurant. There are many cafes near the hotel, but after trying them, we settled on our hotel’s restaurant for lunch and dinner. The room was cleaned twice a day, fruits and chocolate were presented every day, and little surprises in the evening. You have to be a rare bore to find flaws.

Salinda is our „home away from home“. We come here since years and spend several day just to relax and unwind. Either with our family or with friends, they all love it!
We enjoy the friendship of the management team, the hospitality of all staff, the great food (Chef Lila is a MUST), the Villa we stay ….
The salt water pool on the island is sufficiently large to do serious morning laps before breakfast. (Dear Salinda Team, maybe an early morning rope for 2 or 3 lanes would be wonderful and prevent from people suddenly standing stubbornly in the middle of the „invisible swimming lane“, so you have to swim around … and getting aggressive when you continue lanes).
The Band is really worth listening and the Beach BBQ we had this time was really worthwhile. In case there are „wishes“, the team is always trying to make them come true.
Salinda got busier lately, however they still try and do their ultimate best to continue their personal service and touch.
I assume it requires education for people from countries with less travel xperience, like shower before going to the pool, don’t go in with sweaty cloth or wash your sweaty hat, and respect others - see swim lanes above, or don’t want to adopt kids from other people during stay). However the majority of seasoned travellers staying here is very respectful to each other.
In summary the best to relax, be cared for and enjoy lovely days at the beach.
Thanks Jeevan, Thany, Chef Lila and the entire team and see you end of the year.

My Review is for our stay in October 2023, This Boutique Hotel is very elegant I cannot stop thinking about our stay and how my husband and I love it here! our second home! We have been travelling here for a few years now and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the Island as the location and amenities are just perfect, most importantly it's all about the wonderful friendly staff, beautiful immaculate gardens with a private beach & infinity pool which overlooks the purple sunsets that appear every night, A special thank you to the Salinda staff for organising our romantic dinner on the beach as it was our anniversary & will be one of those memories never will be forgotten. Sparkling wine for breakfast, plenty of choices of food & teas & coffees. Our room The Sea View Villa (wall of Pearls) this is exceptional with all amenities, balcony, daybeds, rooms cleaned everyday if not twice a day & a small gift awaits at night. Gym is great plenty of space, weights, running machines, towels, water etc. Dining options – Pool Bar, Italian Restaurant beautiful décor & paintings – five stars, Vietnamese and our favourite is Pakka – Indian Restaurant has the best food I have tasted cooked by Chef Lila. In the Evenings after dinner cocktails in the Piano Bar with the awesome band playing by Caroline & Crew. Thai Spa with signature treatments is a must! you come out floating & relaxed. An incredibly beautiful hotel! We absolutely wanted a hotel in Phu Quoc that offered a lot of green space and that's exactly what we got. Super nice large hotel complex with 5 star service! The rooms are nice and big and very comfortably furnished. The rooms are prepared during the day and in the evening one of the employees comes again and asks if you need fresh towels or anything else. In addition, the breakfast buffet offers everything your heart desires. From fresh juices to various prepared eggs and more. In addition, they always ask if you have any other requests. We can totally recommend the hotel for relaxation and there are also several small restaurants and a small supermarket in the area.

We vacationed in July 2023, unfortunately we were caught in a typhoon that washed away the beach and we were unable to swim in the sea (there was a red flag on the beach every day). At first we were upset about this, but then Anup (as far as I understand, the hotel manager) helped a lot - he told us that on the eastern beaches of the island the sea is calm, and the weather is better there. He ordered us a taxi for the whole day (750,000 dong for 8 hours, which is very cheap at local prices), which we used until the end of the holiday - and we went swimming in the sea on the eastern beaches (it’s not that there were waves there - the sea was just absolutely calm, and swimming is allowed). At the same time, the taxi driver took us around the island to local attractions, each time he gave us a WiFi modem with unlimited Internet - in general, we managed to fix the spoiled mood.
I really liked the hotel: the rooms are spacious and have a huge balcony. The bed is comfortable and large, everything is very cozy. The area is small, but very beautiful - it’s clear that the designers did a great job. Gorgeous swimming pool with sea views and a bar.
Nice breakfasts with champagne and a good selection of fruits and food.
Thanks to the hotel for a wonderful stay!

This is for sure a family friendly resort, it's just a shame that some families aren't friendly. This hotel caters to many families and This means noise! The pool area is too small to get away from the screams and cries of children and the rooms themselves aren't sanctuaries and fail to stop the cries and shouts.
I feel the hotel would benefit from an area dedicated to children and families at busy times. Especially around the pool as it was not a relaxing experience. I think maybe the hotel should decide what matket it wishes to cater for: adults and small families, or families with a lot of children. Perhaps a consistent approach to maximum room occupancy would be beneficial. At one point, there were, it seemed, about twelve people over two rooms on our floor (this was easy to see because they left their room doors open). Yes, they might have paid for the number of people to stay in the room, but the experience and peace of other guests was inhibited.
Breakfast service was excellent, but the food quality was not high - the sparkling wine was pleasant and a nice touch. The breakfast staff were well trained, helpful and preemptive of guests' needs. However, the hot food was cold and the variety limited. I am unsure how stir fried rice and fried vegetables can be so tasteless in country where it is done so well elsewhere. The cheeses on offer were cheaper cheeses and, again, there were only one or two varieties.
I would also recommend keeping a keen eye on guests at the buffet breakfast or providing signs explaining basic hygiene. Those guests who were desperate for food and unwilling to wait for the person in front of them to finish did not use the servers provided, they used their own cutlery in shared dishes. An unacceptable practice at any establishment, let alone a 5*. I was horrified by this.
As we don’t have children, we wouldn't stay here again readily. People with children might be able to shut the noise of certain children out. I have to say, there were a number of excellently behaved children, not all of them were running through the breakfast area, using the hallways as a playground and dominating the pool area.
