My husband and I planned to stay in Phu Quoc for five nights on our honeymoon and we ended up staying for two weeks because of Mai House. The food was amazing, the beach area was perfect for quiet rest after a busy year, and the bungalows were comfortable and sweet. Gerard and Mai, the owners, were very welcoming and... More

We'd had a bit of a disastrous start to our short phu quoc holiday. The accommodation we had pre-booked was awful & basically stumbled on mai house when we took the wrong turn down to the beach. As soon as we walked in we knew we wanted to stay here! The grounds are spacious and well looked after & the... More

After two weeks travelling around the beautiful country of Vietnam we had had many lovely experiences and met many nice people. Phu Qouc was our last stay during our trip and we expected it to be our best. Unfortunately, it was all ruined after our stay at Mai House Resort. The staff turned out to be very aggressive and hostile.... More

We stayed in Mai House Resort for 5 days, and we did'nt want to leave at all. We stayed at a very romantic beachwiew bungalow with A/C and Fan, and we had a wonderful stay. Of course, you might say that 85 USD is a bit overpriced for a bungalow (yes, you CAN get a much simpler 20-dollar bungalow next... More

We arrived to the resort and were desperate for a room because we'd been travelling for hours. We got there and the French man offered two types of bungalows but only for one night each. We wanted to stay for longer and didn't want to move our stuff from one bungalow to another. But we needed somewhere for that night... More

We had one half of the cottage - basically a self contained section of the bungalow. Most importantly, it had aircon and a nice bathroom. Would suggest that aircon is a must and would imagine that those bungalows without may be a little oppressive. Great, great food. Lovely service. A "charmer" or an owner in Gerard. Brill beachfront location. All... More

Mai House is by no means the cheapest place to stay on the strip of Long Beach (an short taxi ride from the airport - less than VND80 000) At $90/nt for a Seaview villa, you can, however, be assured of spaciously set villas and plenty of space in the villa itself. The beachfront though is where this place comes... More

We arrived in Phu Quoc having researched many places prior to arriving but not one place really hit the spot so we decided to find a place on arrival - we are normally very lucky in finding great places. We had been recommended to try Mai Spa which offers wonderful treatments so we headed there initially but the room we... More

We stayed in both a garden room without AC and a sea view room with AC. The sea view room didn't really have a view of the sea, at least not once you were inside the room. The garden room was actualy nicer and at the time of year we stayed you didn't need AC. You might depending on the... More

I stayed at Mai House with my Partner at the end of March and wanted to comment as we had been looking forward to staying here (it was supposed to a be a bit of luxury at the end of our trip). I don't understand the reviews that say the staff were friendly because we have never suffered so much... More
