Our family of three (adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Food was good, reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool and area was beautifully maintained. Our hostess Ayu was excellent and attentive. Staff was friendly. I will recommend this place to anyone coming to Tulamben.

The friendliest staff there can be! Nice relaxed location walkaway from the tulamben city. The poolside in the middle of the hotel is incredible! Great clean big rooms with ac. Nice view to the sea from the hangout area. Resort has öaundry service, pool, wifi, restaurant, breakfast etc. Everything you need. You can book scuba courses for great prices. Also scooter rental is cheap (50k a day). No bad thing to say!

The price of the room is reasonable and I even considered it as cheap, but wow! The staff were friendly to me and my friend. Linda was really helpful. The room itself was great and spacious even though the AC needs time to make the room cool, but that is not a big deal. Breakfast provided and we can also make our own omelet! The place is also clean and colorful ( I don't know how to describe, haha ). The pool is clean even though I didn't swim there ( I stayed for 1 night only ). Will definitely come back when I visit Tulamben again!

I came to see the place but decided not to stay! The web pictures are deceiving as they must be old. The place looks almost uninhabited but there were a few members of staff there. I was shown a couple of rooms. They were rather scruffy, needed some repairs & smelled musty. The bar looked a nice place to chill but was told it is closed permanently. The 2 restaurant refrigerators were empty during my visit. The pool looks cloudy, there's no loungers & appears not to have been swept in some time. Such a pity as it once looked great, had great reviews & still has lots of potential.....it just needs TLC, lots.

The pool & surrounding area is great. The rooms are big & the beds are comfortable. The staff are lovely & will help you out as much as they can, even offering to shuttle us down to the village because it was raining. The breakfast is a mix of Asian & continental, additional meals are good value for money (the Nasi Goreng is huge). Nice relaxing area upstairs with TV with music channels & a bar (open when there's enough guests). The name BackPacker really doesn't suit this hotel, & in fact probably puts people off. Don't let it, it's perfect for families, couples & groups but there is one room with bunks for backpackers if they want to come here.
We knew before we booked but the village is a 10min walk down an unlit road with no pavement.

Its a wonderful hotel, good, spacious rooms, fridge, air conditioning, safe, very cozy area, pool, few people, allowed to leave a room 2 hours later, very friendly staff. Nearby beaches for snorkeling (sunken ship, corals), I recommend this hotel for a family or a group of friends.

The staff is a little bit but all are sincere and friendly. Very cozy patio with a clean pool. The price in high season is 350.000 lower than in other places. Free Wi-Fi and coffee. The rooms are spacious. There is a mini safe. Clean every day. Furniture is good. If you have transport - this is the best place to stay for 1-2 days

Very clean, pool is lovely and good cheap food. WiFi is fine in the rooms. Our hosts Ayu and the cook(sorry we didn’t catch your name) were lovely and really looked after us. It’s a little far out from town but you can easily rent a moped for 50,000IDR and it only takes 5 mins to get there.

Stayed there with two friends for one night to dive around the USS Liberty in the morning. I'd like to mention the friendly and professional receptionist Marni.
Pros: - great room facilities and space. - nice room layout around the pool. - beautiful garden around the pool. - the pool. - food is pretty decent. - staff is very friendly. - great price/quality relation.
Cons:
- by the main (and only) road so restaurant area is a bit noisy.

We arrived 2 days ago, in this hotel. We had a very good surprise when we saw the room. It was way better then we forts thought. The linens great, the pool view is perfect to watch over the kids and we have a place to seat, instead of the usual seating on beds. The pool is really clean and we had a lot of fun with the little bridge that passed over it. When you can't travel with pool toys it's a plus.
