Best place I've stayed in Tulamben!
Other than it being far away from the mainroad (for dinners etc), this is the most beautiful and yet worth for money place I've ever stayed in Tulamben. The staffs are ever genuine and kind and go out of their way to help you out in whatever you need (as long as you ask nicely of course).
The only thing I hope will change is to add more street lights so people can walk at night on the way back into the resort.
Keep up the great job!

This place is small, only 6 bungalows, so max of about 12 guests. There is a communal breakfast / dinner table, which is quite nice with the right group but long awkward silences otherwise.
The staff are very accomodating and the pool (Bintang in hand) is a welcome retreat of an afternoon.
The rooms are basic. Our Aircon was useless, and the safe didn’t work. The bed was quite hard. The shower was hot, and being an outdoor bathroom was a nice touch but there is an odd ‘rotting cabbage’ smell that persists from a combination of water and damp and sewer.
It’s a bit out of the main town (15 mins walk) and there is about 500m without footpath which is an adventure.
They cook the included breakfast on site, but there is limited choice, although it was all very good (pancakes, eggs on toast, toast, fruit, juice and lots of coffee).
Dinner meal is very limited and is cooked in town and transported out. We pre-ordered, and the meals always arrived beautifully presented and piping hot. The beef Rendang is awesome!!
All in all, we’d stay here again.

we visited Tulamben for squba diving. We didn't reserve any hotel before our arrival. First we checked several diving resorts however none of them was cosy as Mina's.
Mina's has 6 Cosy rooms with balinese bathrooms. Quiet garden and pool area; friendly and helpful staff; quite affordable prices for extras like coffee, beer, juice and food.

“Only if you want to live in jungle (big bugs, big lizards, mosquitoes, etc, daily egg/bread only bfast)”
Minabali is nice and quiet, Room is spacious,
However it is quite out of the way and not possible to walk out to Main Street so need to take car to restaurant/shop, quite inconvenient. Not pleasant to walk the dark and Sandy/muddy road from Minabali to main road (think about 10 minutes walk for me).
Room has only big wardrobe but no side table for laying luggage or small stuff. Was difficult for me to squat on floor to take things out from luggage. Was also difficult to bend down to floor level to get things out from luggage.
Our room is not well maintained, Ceiling fan and bed lights not working with broken door handle to toilet (almost cut myself; if not careful). No hot water and had to request for repair. After repair, Water flow was sudden very hot and sudden cold, makes shower unpleasant, Bath towel had spiders crawling on them, Housekeeping should check all these before guest check in.
Breakfast was limited to stale/very dry toast with eggs, although online did mention availability of bacon; nasi goreng or mee goreng. If you don’t mind eating dried toast and egg every day. Juice and hot tea/coffee is available though.
Big bugs crawling around, sometimes hornet bees flying by, big lizards/gecko making noise, mosquitoes, etc. Nice for those who like jungle life and can accept the inconvenience to move around by foot. Suited for those who enjoy living among insects!
We came for diving and were recommended to stay at Minabali, unfortunately not our cup of tea. If we ever return, will be happy to stay beside dive shop in smaller room but convenient location.

Loved Minabali bungalo a lot. The gardens are tranquil, pool is good and the ladies, security and gardener are all lovely, friendly and happy. We ate all our breakfasts there, which were very nice, had various drinks and had two dinners which were excellent. On one of the days we had a massage each, also very good. We were very lucky to have the place to ourselves for a day or two and had a look around the other bungalows (there are only 8, so it is very peaceful and quiet), and all looked as lovely as ours.

Pros:
- Rooms are nice, with a great outdoor shower
- beautiful pool
- peaceful environment & close to nature (very zen)
- VERY VERY attentive and caring staff & housekeepers
- simple but nice breakfasts
Cons:
- cleanliness in the room can be improved greatly. There were many cobwebs in our room, and it was very dusty.
- Fan doesn’t work in the room
- Bed is quite dirty, with musty smell. we developed rashes during our 2 day stay. So hopefully this can be improved.

I stayed for 16 nights at Minabali in December 2014. In fact, I spent Christmas at Minabali and I can say without hesitation that this hotel – bed and breakfast style – is a wonderful, wonderful place. The room was fantastic. It has high ceilings, very spacious and cozy with great air conditioning unit. Also, it has plently of closet space. The hotel is small having only 5 or 6 rooms but is surprisingly spacious and has a great swimming pool. It is so nice and quite. The only sounds one hears around come from nature – crickets, geckos and birds. Just great. The pool area is surrounded by nature. The bathroom was perfect – you can shower and look at the moon at the same time – awesome. You can also see Mount Augung from your bathroom. Christine, the owner is a delightful French woman who makes sure everything is arranged perfectly for you. She got me a motor bike to ride around and was even kind enough to accompany some of her guests to dinner at nearby restaurants in Tulamben and Amed. Her son came by for Christmas. She also always pointed me in the right direction regarding nearby site seeing and things to do. Even though this is a small hotel, it has a spa! The prices are incredibly affordable – I loved massages by the pool. The area is Tulamben, which is a rather quite area. You will need a motor bike or car to move around this part of the island. One of the coolest nearby attractions is the USS liberty wreck which is a great site to dive, freedive or snorkel. It is only 300 meters or so from the hotel. Once of the things I liked the most was how clean this place was kept. The service is comparable to 5 or 6 star hotels in that sense. Finally, the food at Minabali was unbelievable. Not surprising given the owner is French! I strongly, strongly recommend this hotel. It is a perfect place if you plan to stay in Bali. If I ever visit Bali again, I will be staying at Minabali.

Big and clean rooms. Fairly priced. Quiet and away from the main street. Daily dinner is a nice touch for the guests. Minabali is a good place to wind down after a long diving day. Road access is a little bad, but not the fault of the hotel.
