We have just departed from this heavenly resort after 6 splendid nights here. I want to truly share what magnificence we experienced. This was our 4th trip to Bali ( previously we stayed at Ayana, The Legian, Club Med). We thought Seminyak, this time was the BEST location-in terms of the beach, food, shopping.

I would like to talk about this divine hotel in the following sections.

Grounds

Sprawling grounds, with splendid design and thought weaved into all the intricacies of this resort. Hip and quirky yet preserving all the Balinese architecture. I read a review saying the resort is too far from the pool or beach but really there are shortcuts everywhere. My family and I felt it was beautifully designed. We loved it especially the airy breezy lobby area with all the lovely art deco from Bali. Lovely treats and refreshments daily at the reception

Pool and Beach

A lovely tropical vibe, surrounded by frangipani trees, deck n cabana chairs and you could walk over to the beach. The hotel did well in securing the grounds so there are no trespassers. Across is the stunning beach with fabulous surfing classes. The Champlung restaurant ( not part of hotel), had good service and fare. Cava staff are lovely with all the pool floats and even water pillows

Breakfast

OMG. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. You start off with local jamu beverage ( Indonesian traditional herb concoction) for detox and then the list is endless. And a ala carte menu accompanies the buffet and it is EXTENSIVE. The Avocado toast has 9 things on it! The textures ❤️. Don’t miss the masala omelette, the French toast, the curry laksa ( alternate days), black glutinous rice pudding, the fried rice n Sambals, the fresh juice, iced latte and the yummiest hot choc. The cheese bar, dairy and health food section is endless.
The breakfast was the first highlight of our trip. It made everything so memorable, we would have long bfast and chats while our boys play chess. It was sublime. The staff remember what you like and ask you about it the next day ( a lady with glasses, I didn’t get her name). We were the hot chocolate table ❤️.

Staff

Here is the second highlight of the premise. THEIR STAFF ARE ALL EXTRAORDINARY. There wasn’t a single staff that didn’t go over and beyond. Always making the extra effort. They were so humble and polite in their manner. And the most special thing was that none of it was an act or put on. It was all GENUINE WARMTH AND LOVE. You could feel it. This was even at 5.30 in the morn when we would go for our beach walk. Even the guards at the beach entry. All were simply magnificent. The boys at Cava pool bar. The breakfast staff daily. All of them. Even at pottery cafe not forgetting. The spa. Each human being radiated light and a magnificent energy. KUDOS TO ALL THE STAFF. Special mention to Ari ( for my first babi guling), Kim, Savithri, all of the reception staff, the breakfast usherers, the lovely Jamu girls. The lovely gentlemen guarding the hotel entrance.
We tried to tip as many as we could
Thank you for allowing us our Gojek orders- it meant we could try the local fare too.

IF THERE WAS ONE WORD to sum it all up- your STAFF were absolutely REMARKABLE. I hope the management will read this to them all or send it out via a message and treat them. We tried to tip as many as we could.

Room Service & Housekeeping ( + turndown service)

Can’t say enough. We ordered kids meals several times. It was lovely. Every 2 days we would be left a wee treat, sometimes a basket of fruits, another time some local crackers and dips, another time an anniversary cake. All were just so thoughtful and lovely. The resort was so generous with water and to ups. If you are ok during turndown service, they will ask you what you need ( I.e mouthwash, top up of amenities, etc)

The housekeeping staff were all splendid. Purna, Ratna, Shindy you were all great
Pebry, Nova, Made….thank you.

Surprise Item- Fire Dance

One evening we heard the banging of traditional drums and we were intrigued. When we asked we found out that there was a daily fire and dance show at 6.20-6.40pm, Mondays to Fridays by the pool. The stage is fantastic with a stunning sunset backdrop and pool ( really magnificent on a non cloudy day) . I wonder why the hotel didn’t have a poster of this advertising this at the lobby so more guests can be aware to enjoy. Maybe it’s not a fixed thing but it was on on the weekdays we were there ( 6 in total)

All in all when we left today, we were heavy hearted and emotional. We felt AT HOME. After a few days it felt more like our own than a hotel. It is very rare that a place can do this. We recently returned from an IHG hotel in Europe and I truly find the IHG banner exceeding expectations.

We want to extend our gratitude to all of you for making our family holiday and anniversary so special . We will be recommending you to anyone who is coming to Bali. Our hearts are full of joy and love. Bless you all.

We spent 8 nights at Hotel Indigo. It is a new hotel and has some kinks to work out.
The rooms are very nice and spacious. Be careful to pay attention to the view when booking. The hotel is located in a narrow space and many of the rooms have a view of a cement path or the hotel next door. We had trouble with our rooms initially but once we complained, and two rooms later, we had an excellent room with a beautiful view. The staff accommodated is and our expectations were exceeded.
The pools are beautiful and very well
Maintained. The restaurants are wonderful! We enjoyed each of their restaurants!
The staff is so friendly and kind and recognized us by our second day.
Seminyak is a dirty beach town. We found it a conundrum to decide where to stay as Seminyak is dirty and crowded with lots of restaurants. Staying in the jungle is more isolated and keeps you tethered to your hotel. It’s just a choice you’ll have to make.
The spa is beautiful. We enjoyed three different massages during our stay. They were very relaxing! We highly recommend taking advantage of the spa!
The beach is across the street and was a disappointment. It was the dirtiest beach I’ve ever experienced. We took a walk every morning and I brought a plastic bag to pick up trash. It was sad that such a scenic location was tarnished by a trashy shoreline.
Overall, the Indigo will exceed your expectations as long as you make your reservations knowing to make sure you have a room with a view of the pools or beach!

A large and quite busy hotel. One don’t feel crowded here, except for breakfast. Breakfast spread was excellent with such great choices of local, Asian and western choices. We are last few that come for breakfast everyday, where it’s not too crowded and treat this as brunch.

The hotel ground is wide spread and I particularly like the quieter pool where kids are not around, it’s just more tranquil and less sunny than the pool. But the main pool is definitely the place to get some colors on your skin and more lively.

Food quality was very good in all their restaurants and kudos to the culinary team. The room was spacious and well appointed, furnishings are modern and everything worked well in the room. Good to travel with insect repellent for more sensitive people, it is the tropic after all.

Housekeeping did a great job with cleanliness of the room, and the Concierge team just love doing what they do best, that’s in taking great care of their guests.

Would lurve to return one day.

We usually stayed at the Marriott Brand hotels as we are used to their level of service. However, this time we want to try a different hotel and we try Indigo Seminyak hotel.

We stayed there for 3 nights and for each night, we and that there's always some issues with the hotel. We find that it always take a long time for someone from the hotel to respond to our request. We checked in close to 10.30p.m, and we find that the check in process is too slow. The room was also very small. Towels is really looking old and grayish. We even find some stains on the towels. Air-conditioning lay out was also badly designed, Its practically blowing in front & on top of your head as its directly on top of the TV area in front of your bed.

The breakfast area is quite small. Though they provide good selection of food choices, each time we order coffee, it'll take a long time for the coffee to come. Though I can comment that the team leaders on the floors are really responsive and they tried to follow up with our orders, it still take about 15 minutes for the coffees/ drink to come. They also do not clean the table fast enough.

The pool area also was small and filled with guests around the pool as you cannot really swimming at the Seminyak beach.

Location wise, the hotel is not located at the major road, so you'll have to walk out about 10 minutes to the Main Street before you get to the shopping & restaurant area.

And when you stay in the hotel, do not expect any ocean view, as none of their room faces the ocean. In our first stay, as it was late at night, we cannot see any view. In the morning, when we open our curtain, there's a big red roof in front of our view. We paid about $380 USD for a slow service, bad pool, small room with old towels, and a red roof view.

Our 3 nights stay was a disappointing stay at Indigo Seminyak.

There are a few super stars in the hotel, Rudy at the pool just amazing, he should be promoted to train the rest of the team to that next level. Dika at salon Bali, Dharma and Suma, Harry the chef as well. These people were amazing staff that goes above and beyond to support their customers. Agus was very hospitable, he is always looking for ways to further improve the hotel and the experience Oka as well, amazing team member, we had a few issues at the start but he managed to rectify them in a timely manner. The hotel senior management should be more visible, they walk around ignoring their customers, I am not used to the IHG chain having poor customer centricity.
The food at sugar sands were great, salon Bali needs huge improvement on the food variety, I didn’t think the food on the menu were authentic Balinese and the breakfast should be worked on. They need to focus on the real breakfast menu rather than having Balinese / Chinese food and replace it with something healthy for foreigners. Fresh salmon, avocado, etc.

people goes on holidays to reset , recharge. The hotel needs to increase yoga classes, outstanding yoga instructor and this service should be at the very least complimentary for people that stays more than 5 days.

The bar staff were very helpful and friendly, they know how to make their customers enjoy that special moment and experience.

The rooms are beautifully designed, but the hotel has so much improvement to work on considering the competition out there, I agree that the staff should smile more, and provide that lasting Balinese experience.

The lobby area, should be less cluttered and perhaps they should place some tables for coffee or drinks for people to relax, it’s beautiful view from the top. There are some trees in the resort that are blocking beautiful view of the sea, perhaps pruning the trees. The ambience should truly be improved so many colours, it’s too busy and in your face.

Hope you really work on improving your marketing responses to the feedback, it doesn’t address the issues. Stop copying and pasting same message. It’s robotic and it’s not customer centric and no human connection. Learn from Accor ‘ heartist”

We were very happy when we arrived. The hotel itself was very impressive, the welcome with their signature welcome drink was memorable until we went to our room.
After 20 mins it became evident although I had lowered the air-con that it wouldn’t go lower than 25 degrees.
As my friend and I were suffering from heat rash we were desperate to be cooled down.
I called down to reception and was told someone from maintenance would be with us in 15 mins. A miserable hour later we decided to take a walk to the beach to watch the sunset which was BEAUTIFUL.
Long story short, we had to repack our bags after WE asked to be moved as after 3 hrs the air con still wasn’t working as we’d like.
They were very good at upgrading us.

We found their staff did not communicate well, we were constantly retelling instructions to various staff. Room service arrived cold on one occasion and it took them a while to get it right.

And to top it off, after a week in Bali we actually got bitten to shreds during the 3 nights we stayed at this hotel.

Nonetheless the staff were all lovely, and both the buffet and a la cart breakfast were great. Not to mention their drinks and various happy hour options around the hotel.

We even managed to catch the end of a traditional Indonesian dance/play which was beautiful to watch.

I think because of the bad start and so many small things going wrong we just got annoyed that we weren’t getting the 5 star experience we expected.

The hotel was our third stop on our honeymoon and the entrance alone makes you feel like you're in a palace. The security is great and made us feel comfortable the entire time we were there. The pool was beautiful (although very warm so not that refreshing in already hot weather), and the chairs by the pool are comfortable. The service at the pool is a little slow but the food is good and the drinks are delicious. Our room was comfortable, modern, and spacious. We especially loved the bathtub on the balcony (yes it's shaded and has great privacy). The staff were super friendly! Only downside was the location is a pretty long walk to the main area of Seminyak, but this did make it feel pretty private.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at Indigo and what a fantastic experience we had!
When we arrived our room was not ready for us but we were offered a complementary lunch whilst we waited which was lovely and much appreciated. When we got into our Sea Breeze room we were surprised with how big it was, a very large bed, walk in wardrobe, lovely big bathroom and shower and stunning view from our balcony of the pool area and sea. The room was spotlessly clean and fantastic air-conditioning system.
The staff in the hotel were really an asset to the company, so friendly and attentive, very polite and spoke good English, A special mention to Ratna in reception, she was the lady who checked us in and she looked after us from start to finish, very professional always, nothing was too much to ask.
The food in the hotel was a very high standard, the breakfast buffet was superb. So much choice for all different tastes, Asian, Continental and American and again the service was great. The only slight criticism i can make is the room service menu could have been better and its a shame it didn't reflect the such high standards of the rest of the food in the hotel.
The location was very good and just a few minutes walk to the main strip with lots of bars and restaurants and also prime location to lots of beach bars and restaurants.
A truly lovely stay and would 100% return.

My wife & I stayed at Hotel Indigo Seminyak for a week in Oct 2022 and we loved our time there.

We booked an airport transfer through the hotel so the process from arrival hall to our room was seamless (greatly appreciated after a long flight and late evening arrival).

The room was perfect for our needs, a great little retreat after long days spent out exploring or poolside. We liked the large shower looking out to the balcony, walk in robe and little design details making it unique. Housekeeping did a great job making up our room twice daily.

We had the pleasure of enjoying several massage treatments at Sava Spa. Although they cost a bit more, we found them to be worth it for a completely relaxing experience from start to finish. The spa has beautiful spaces throughout.

While the buffet breakfast at Makase is great, we preferred the relaxed atmosphere and view when having the a la carte breakfast at Sugarsand, their beachside pool bar. Also great spot to watch the sun set over the ocean on clear evenings.

Of the three pool areas we loved Sugarsand and the secret garden pool the most. The secret garden felt like our own private oasis!

We feel like we have found a real gem in Hotel Indigo Seminyak. We will certainly stay again next time we’re in Bali and thoroughly recommend this property to our friends.

I have checked out today of the Indigo hotel in Seminyak where I stayed for 9 days in a Perada
Suite. My stay included Christmas and New Year so the hotel was packed. Yet inspite of this service was always impeccable with the staff always attentive and smiling.

The hotel is relatively new, my suite was spacious and very comfortable. Housekeeping responded promptly to any request and delivered my dry cleaning impeccably the next day.

The room service menu, called house delivery, has a limited and disappointing choice. My pizza and beer were delivered in less than 15 minutes. pizza was ok. Breakfast is a pleasure and the staff appears to cater to your every needs. The Indonesian restaurant was a bit disappointing and with limited choice, but the main restaurant offered a wider selection and was good.

The two pools, including the secret pool, were beautiful and surrounded by lush vegetation. The Spa was amazing and I was back three times during my stay; I strongly recommend the hot stone massage, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fitness centre was limited for weights, but adequate for cardio. It is accessible 24 hours and so very convenient.

If I were to come back to Bali, I would definitely consider staying in Indigo again.

We stayed in an ocean suite and there was not a door between bedroom and lounge. There were 2 bathrooms and a huge robe that had doors at both end of you needed privacy., it is a fabulous room!

Arya the restaurant manager takes good care of guests. We found it very good but of course it’s more expensive as it’s a 4/5 star hotel. They also told us the cleaner, safer restaurants to try along the beach for variety. Double six is next door.
