Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I didn't get to stay here but I had a disappointing experience trying to book a stay. My partner (who happens to be a local Balinese) and I wanted to treat ourselves to a weekend at a villa. As we scrolled through Google, we saw that this villa had a promo of USD 25 per night and we were so excited that we booked it immediately using my partner's Balinese name and credit card. And guess what? The very next day, we got a Whatsapp from the villa which claimed that their villas were all "full" and that they will cancel our booking. I am not a fool and also, I will not take this kind of unfairness lying down. So I went through their website again and saw that the deal was still available even HOURS later. I refused to accept it and kept messaging them to say I found that the deal is still available and that other villas and hotels we usually stay at would NEVER blatantly just cancel on us without offering another date or any other form of compensation. Finally they gave in and messaged us to say that the "other" guests have changed their dates and that our booking has been confirmed. But we are not desperate to stay at this villa, especially after the treatment we received! We were genuinely looking to treat ourselves with our hard-earned money and contribute to the local economy but in the end my partner refused to stay there after I told him what happened. I also called up my friend who manages a luxury villa to ask if simply canceling on someone who has a valid credit card is normal. She says it is not - BUT sorry to say in Seminyak many villas do this to locals because they don't want locals to stay. Maybe bad experience before but hey, not ALL locals will bring the entire village and dirty up your villa! My partner and I genuinely wanted a nice weekend to ourselves. We have stayed at MANY 5-star hotels and luxury villas before. We're not desperate to stay in your villa, and please realize that you are local too and you cannot treat locals this way. It's called reverse racism and it is not fair. See how you feel when others do that to you. Initially, I didn't want to write this review because I believe in karma but you know what, I realize that if I don't speak up, other people will be affected too and the chain will just go on.

Beautiful villa with great layout, but needs a good clean and refresh. We stayed in the 4br villa, and the setting was beautiful, but it has been left to get a bit run down. For the price charged i would have expected better finishing touches eg rugs and floor mats were filthy, as were mosquito nets over beds, which were grey and looked like they've never been washed. The 3 enclosed bathrooms were pretty dank and needed better ventilation, plumbing repairs and a good clean. Most of the villa is cleaned regularly, but it just seems to be a superficial clean. Wherever our baby crawled he ended up with filthy hands, knees and legs. Mosquitos were not a huge problem this time of year. The included breakfast was very basic and frustrating that it wasn't available before around 8.30am. It meant we had to make an earlier breakfast for the kids, and also restricted out outings. We were told that any extra food prepared by the staff would be very cheap, at just the cost of ingredients, but it was exorbitant. Eg $15 for a large plate of vegetarian nasi goreng. The location in seminyak was busy and noisy, which tends to be the case around seminyak, but wasn't too bad in terms if being close to shops and cafes. The pool and garden were beautiful and well maintained, and the gardeners were lovely and great with the kids.

We stayed in the big Villa in August 2019 with another family. The villa itself was absolutely incredible, the photos do not do it justice. The staff were amazing, right from the very beginning all the way to our departure. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our needs and assisted with anything we wanted to do. Great location, walking distance to plenty of lovely restaurants and bars. Very easy not to leave the villa too! Thanks for having us, will definitely be back!

We stayed in 2 bedroom villa. Very comfortable and well decorated. Staff were very helpful without being intrusive and cooked us a lovely breakfast each morning. There are mosquitoes but staff do their best and light coils each night. There are nets over beds which is great. Air conditioning works well. Outdoor bathroom is always a nice experience. Great position just off Drupadi and we found it quiet and safe. Definitely recommend villa 8 and we hope to be back.

We stayed for 7 nights in this beautiful Villa located right in the heart of Seminyak . 4 nights in their 4 bed room Villa and three nights in their 2 bed room villa . Both the villas were beautiful with plenty of space and very functional rooms . All The staff was very helpful and always smiling and very cooperative . The only suggestion I have is that Breakfast could be imporved by adding a few things , rest everything was perfect with great value for money .

Stayed here for 6 nights with 5 friends. We stayed in the largest villa, 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms are all spacious and clean and the attached en-suites are semi-open which lets you enjoy a bit more of the beautiful Bali weather. The pool area is lovely. The staff are fantastic, unobtrusive and obliging. Great location, and the all night security gives you an extra feeling of safety. Highly recommended.

We typically stay at Uma Sapna across the street, but we’re booked for Xmas. Villa 8 was recommended to be comparable, but not at all. The villa was very old and dingy for the price paid in the Seminyak area. I am a frequent Bali visitor and won’t be staying here again. I will say that the location is fantastic and you can walk to many shops and restaurants.

After being delayed by Air Asia we arrived late or more accurately early at 0100 in the morning. We were met by a driver at the airport and driven to the villa. At the villa helpful security staff (24 hour) assisted with bags and found some welcoming fruit drink. We were in villa 2 which is a two bedroom villa with a communal living area and kitchen. I believe there is a similar unit next door. This communal area is open to the environment/pool area and therefore there were some evening mosquitoes. Security would light 4 mosquitoe coils each night - we were still bitten but perhaps not as bad as it could have been. The bedrooms are identical and well air conditioned. There are mosquitoe nets over the beds. The toilet and shower are outside which while private, allows the mosquitoes to fight over you. Our stay included breakfast of fruit, eggs on toast and coffee/tea. There were also extra options like nasi goreng which cost A$15 for 4 people. This is an older, comfortable unit close to two main streets. The first is obvious, just down the street, the second is accessed down a narrow walkway/scooter way which runs parrell to the driveway, across from Kilo restaurant.
