What can I say about desamuda villa apart from a fantastic stay. Villa lovely and clean. Clean towels on request. Mosquito repellents supplied, fogging dine done every other day in public areas. Breakfasts lush! Restaurant on site lovely but not vast menu. Staff very polite and welcoming. Large clean pool, pool service available,

Would highly reccomend this villa as a place to stay! One of the Staff Wini is an absolute delight! Keep up the good work.

Cant say I've stayed in 5☆ hotels and not had the same service from staff that I have had here.

I would definitely come back again!

We booked a 6-nights stay at the 2-bedrooms villa with a private pool in December 2019 for our family trip. Prior to our arrival, we communicated with the Reservations Department to arrange for the airport transfers to and from the hotel. This was efficiently handled and the free airport transfers saved us both the time and especially the hassle of having to locate the villa upon our arrival in Bali at night. In addition to acceptable breakfasts, the hotel also provided morning and evening housekeeping service, free shuttle service to Kuta, Legian and Seminyak as well as arranged for charter car and massage services upon request.

Generally, good customer service and our initial worry over mosquitoes did not "materialise"... We will go back to the villa again should we have any family trip there.

This is the at second time to have stayed at Desamuda and once again it was an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, ready to do what you require but also allow you time to just be and do your own thing. It is close to everything but the buildings are set back enough to not hear the traffic and noise. We stayed in a three bedroom villa with our own pool which gives you the privacy and time and place to relax. The complex is clean and well maintained with nice linen and toiletries. The breakfast choices were excellent and the cooks are able to prepare the food how you like it. The pick up and drop off as part of the price was a nice touch.

Our breakfasts were appetising, well prepared, presented,plenty of variety and tasty.
Overall the meals were value for money.
The staff were exceptional and went the extra mile.
The resort was very nice but our accomodation was basic and very dark.
The cleaning in our room was average as the sheets and duvet had permanent stains.
Attention to detail in cleaning is required.
We became very ill due to the air conditioning in our room.
We have been home a week today but are still unwell.

Where do I start!!! Well on first impressions we thought the place looked tired which we could get over but cleanliness is another matter, our room on first impressions looked nice until you looked more closely, I will upload photos of some of my concerning points. The photos on Desamuda webpage are very deceiving, firstly there was a huge problem with ants in the kitchenette area, I wanted to make a coffee and went to get a sachet and it was crawling in ants. The shower area which is in the bathroom but with open with no roof had mould all around and when it had rained the tray was covered in black stuff that had ran off the roof. The pool looked very nice on first impressions but was in a poor condition with the pump no running very often and mould on the tiles. The worst part that really bothered me at Desamuda is after breakfast every table was swept with a not very clean dustpan and brush and then reset, hence why all the edges of the tables had grime all around, no sanitizer was ever used. I would most definitely never return here or stay in Seminyak, it is a very dirty and noisy where you constantly get pestered walking down the street which I know is nothing to do with Desamuda but just want to let people know and help them not to waste there money, after talking to several people they said that we got the wrong end of the island, apparently the other side which I think is called Ubud is so much nicer.

This hotel/villa has all the opportunity to be good but sadly this place is tired and in urgent need of a refurbishment. Lots of things wrong here.
The idea of a room with your own pool sounds idyllic but sadly that’s not the case.
Firstly the negatives;
Dirty walls and damage in various places. This includes a bath with a big black hole where the ceramic has been damaged, the kitchen bench which is outside of the bedroom has loads of tiles missing and is covered in ants daily. No one wants to prepare food in those circumstances. The living area is all outside too. Which isn’t good in the heat. The bathroom looks covered in and then you look above the shower and there is a huge hole above. This room is also very hot. Only 1 of the 3 sockets in the bedroom actually work. So trying to dry my hair and keep cool is hard as the socket has the mosquito repellent in. There are so many damaged tiles in the pool as well as a light. The walls are covered in black stuff of which I have no idea of what it is. The breakfast is awful. None of the bread, cakes or pastries are covered and there are flies jumping all over them. 1 two sliced toaster where there is always a queue. Beef Bacon which is vile and greasy.
The tables are never cleared quickly. Some morning we have had to move dirty plates and find out own cups and cutlery. You have to ask for the water or coffee to be filled and even the juices and iced water runs out and you have to tell the servers.
Here are some positives;
The pool is lovely and welcoming despite its faults and the air con in the bedroom is excellent. Our welcome was very good too. They do the small things right with the toiletries etc. shame they can’t do the same with the rooms. Sadly that’s all I have.

I don’t know where to start here.
We had a lovely few days in ubud and was exited to see what Seminyak had to offer, we’d chosen this 4* hotel and photos & reviews were positive. How wrong were we!
On first impressions this place looks like it’s not been touched for about 10 years, it’s very tired & dirty. The cleaning staff wake you up at 9am to clean your room even though you’ve put do not disturb on the door.
Although most of the staff are friendly and polite their uniforms are grubby. On leaving the toilets in reception one morning a member of the restaurant staff came out at the same time and DIDN’T WASH HIS HANDS! This is basic food hygiene. On mentioning this to reception we were told they wash their hands in the kitchen (but what if they did a task on the way)?!?
Our room wasn’t great, there’s wires hanging outside the swimming pool, although we didn’t have any babies with us the high chairs were disgusting, pool loungers with missing cushions random hosepipe, general rubbish to be seen, path lamps broken & just on the grass.
We actually left a day early as we couldn’t stand it another day.

We were very disappointed about a number of small things, which ultimately soured our overall experience to the point that I would not recommend this accommodation. The fridge did not work properly, the bedside light did not work (and was not fixed after our request), one of us became ill after a quite awful New years eve dinner at the resort and the buffet breakfast was consistently disappointing (to the point that we often paid to eat elsewhere even though we had already paid for it). On the plus side, the location is good, with plenty of nice restaurants and shops nearby and the gardens are lovely.

I had so much fun!. The place was in the centre of the city near to kuta and seminyak. Feel like home, private pool in the villa. They do had Main pool if you want long swimming. In the evening you may take a ride (10 minutes)to the seminyak beach or walk along the street there is so many shop. You may also shopping at beachwalk mall. In the villa you can cook. There is also had pharmacy mini mart nearby. Desamuda village also had massage n spa service. You even can rent tradition bali cloth for FREE..Me and family will repeat again and again..suitable place for us.

You may contact them through email or your travel agency prior to your arrival. Make sure they replied in written form on the confirmation to secure your booking. They will pick you up at airport with a cardboard written with your name and their resort name on it. I do not know how much to upgrade to private pool, but it would be good to have. There is a public pool as well, which is much bigger.

You can upgrade to a villa with a pool if they are available at the time. It would be best to book the private villa with the pool ahead of time to secure one.
