We stayed in one of the 3-bedroom Dusun villas for a recent family trip and cannot fault the hospitality of Gede and his team. From our initial welcome to the generous offer of a late checkout (to match our evening flight departure time), the Dusun crew went out of their way to make our return visit to Bali most pleasant.
While the Dusun villas are about 20 years old, they are kept in great condition and have everything you need for a Bali getaway - clean pool, fresh towels daily, chilled water and ice as needed. And guess what you get staying in villas established a few years ago rather than ones just built? Location, location, location! You won't ever feel that there are other guests staying nearby, yet you can walk to Seminyak institutions such as Mexicola (2 minutes), Sea Circus (3 minutes) and Ku De Ta or Eat St (less than 10 minutes). All with the comfort of knowing that there is 24 hour security to welcome you upon return.
Don't hesitate to stay at the Dusun - Gede and his team are keen to see travellers back in Bali, and I have no doubt they will take excellent care of you!

I spent one week at The Dusun and it was absolutely perfect! My one bedroom villa was pure luxury! Fantastic pool, the most comfortable bed, great A/C, plenty of space, quiet and excellent location. The best thing about The Dusun is the staff. Gede and his team (reception, housekeeping/cooks, security, pool man and gardener) are amazing, always smiling and ready to help with anything you want or need. Every day the villa is cleaned immaculately both inside and out, breakfast was delicious and as a solo female traveller I felt safe and as though I was staying with friends who truly cared about my well-being. It may have been my first visit but definitely will not be my last. Suksma!

A quiet retreat right in the heart of Seminyak off the busy Main Street. Our villa was a one bedroom villa which provided a quiet sanctuary on the last leg of our beautiful Bali experience.
The villas are well situated close to the nightlife, & beach however once you wonder down the driveway to the villas the party noise isn’t evident. We ate at a couple of fantastic restaurants Bambu (Indonesian) & La Lucciola (Italian) ~ both recommended by the lovely team at The Dusun.
The Dusun also offers in villa spa treatments ~ well worth it, alongside a BBQ option although we didn’t experience that. We were in villa 215 it was clean & comfortable, with daily service, on a very minor note the bathroom looked like it needed a bit of renovation - however recognising the impact of the 2 year pandemic, & little to no tourism, it’s to be expected & I’m sure this will be done in due course.
The team work well to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, breakfast is cooked in your villa each morning as an alternative if you are off out touring the island as we were a packed breakfast box is available.
We toured some of the sights on the east coast and hired a fantastic driver (Hendra) for the day @sandbox.tour at a very reasonable cost.
Would we recommend the Dusun ~ absolutely & we look forward to return in the not too distant future ~ Terima kasih to all of the Dusun team.

We stayed for 9 nights. We have enjoyed many trips to Bali but this was our first time at the Dusun and found it very expensive for what it was.
The first 6 nights we were in a villa where the electricity went out almost every day.
We were moved to a different room for the final 3 nights because of a plumbing issue and although we did not have any more issues with the electricity, we found the second villa was plagued with mosquitoes and did not have the same amenities (power outlets etc) as the first. We found moving fairly inconvenient with 2 small children, we deliberately chose to stay in one location this visit to avoid having to pack etc more than once.
The positives were excellent pools in both villas, fairly good location and nice staff.

When i drove in the quite narrow path leading to the villa i felt quite discouraged, but when i reached the entrance gate and greeted by the profesionally and friendly security i somehow felt a bit ease.. and as i continue to reach the lobby, i then greeted with the staff who was handling the check-in, amazed by his promptness of welcoming me and lead me right away to the villa i booked as if he has been expecting me (too bad i forgot to ask nor saw his name) and so i drove to follow him.
Apparently, the check-in process continue in the villa (kinda understand the necessity of this as the property has only 1 quite narrow path for car going in and out), the staffs was really helpfull and very thorough explaining all the things we need to know. One great man who was handling all including carrying all of our heavy bags to the villa.
Okay so the villa was great, huge, VERY spacious. Really worth the money.
There is like two separate building for the rooms, one being to house 2 of the bedrooms, and the other one built in a distance off the main building being separated by the pool (exactly how it looked in the photo).
The villa was cleaned very well as it felt very fresh. Pool was huge with 2 different depth. Kitchen was very clean and completely facilitated i’d say like stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, fridge and sinks of course, with all the plates, cups, and glasses all working perfectly, and most importantly is my wife loves it.
Bedroom was spacious and has it own small room to place all your luggage and clothes. Bathroom also spacious with a running hot water.
Breakfast was great and felt special as it was cooked and served to us in the villa.
Pool is huge, we can swim freely with 7 people in it, it has a very shallow side as well for babies or toddlers to play with the water (need to be watched tho as there is no barrier to the deep side of the pool).
It has a decent multimedia player to listen to music in the living room aka dining room aka kitchen.
The only downside to the stay here was, the 2 main bedroom air conditioner wasn’t strong enough to cool the room. But this may because of the fact that the door that connects the bedroom to the bathroom have a gap that wide enough space for the air in the bedroom to escape to, or even for the hot air from the bathroom to get into the room. I hope they can come up with a solution to it as it is too warm to sleep in, i even sweating.
Aside from the not too comfortable room due to the AC unable to cool the room, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Will deffinitely place it in my fav list and will deffinitely consider to return.

Very well worth it. Great location, comfortable facilities, clean and staff were great so friendly and attentive. Compared to other villas we have stayed it was one of the best as the towels were thick and good quality toilet paper

We were met by the staff at Dusun Reception even though it was after 11pm and escorted to our beautiful villa which looked exactly like the photos. We loved the outdoor kitchen/living area and garden and spent loads of time in our pool. Bed was huge and comfortable and bathroom very spacious. The entire villa was spotlessly clean and well furnished. We thought the hot water button on the water dispenser was great. All staff were delightful and careful not to disturb the guests. The Dusun is a very peaceful resort - we didn't hear any other guests during our stay even though every villa was occupied. Easy walk to Seminyak Square and numerous restaurants. We didn't want to leave and would love another stay at The Dusun in the future.

Just returned from a 10 night stay in a single room villa at The Dusun in Seminyak where everything was pretty much perfect... The location is fantastic with shops, beach & restaurants all within a short walking distance and the villa's themselves offer everything you could possibly need for a Bali holiday getaway, but it's the staff that really set this property apart from others I have stayed at previously. Whether it was the management team at reception, the security staff at the front gate or the room staff, everyone greeted us with a smile every time we passed them by and did everything to make our stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. Cant rate/recommend this property highly enough... Will be back for sure. 5 Stars!!

The perfect villa getaway. The property is probably 25+ years old but it has been well looked after and the facilities and gardens are still beautiful and clean. The bathroom and amenities could probably do with a refresh, especially the towels - there was also no body wash or hand towels. The location is just perfect if you are after a quiet place but close to all the action of Seminyak and the beach. The staff are friendly and efficient and we loved every minute of our stay. The pool is amazing and they even sprayed for mosquitos every few days. Would definitely stay again!

My sister has been a regular visitor to The Dusun, so my husband, daughter and I were confident that we would like the venue when we accompanied her on our recent holiday. The venue was all that we expected and so much more. The quiet, yet central location close to the beach, restaurants and shops was excellent. The quality of the villa, including the beautiful, extremely clean oversized bedrooms and bathrooms and the wonderful covered open living area, was outstanding. We loved the filtered hot and cold water system in our well equipped kitchen. The free wifi access worked perfectly. The oversized pool and stunning garden complemented the living areas. We certainly felt like we were in an island paradise. Gede and the staff at The Dusun were all so lovely. The front desk staff, gardeners, pool maintenance workers, housekeeping staff and security were all so obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The staff made our holiday the perfect get away.
