Location is very central to everything you would want to see and do in Bali. Taxi fares to other tourist attractions quite reasonsble, ranging from $2-$10 AUD. Everything you need is within walking distance such as beach, shopping mall, market stalls, chemist, cafe/restaurants, beautiful jewellery and beauty/massage. Staff are polite and attentive to your requirements and there is an easy to navigate hotel app to communicate with concierge, order food, obtain info on hotel facilities and the surrounding area etc. Room is very spacious compared to other resorts and hotels I have stayed in. A minor setback was some of the finishes of the bathroom but everything was clean so not a deal breaker for me. I was travelling alone but the size of the room would easily accommodate 2-4 people comfortably. The restaurant and pool are on the rooftop with beautiful views and ambience. Buffet breakfast was amazing and prices for other meal options very affordable. I will definitely be travelling and staying at this hotel again as my trip was intended for rest and relaxation which is what I experienced. It was nice to be greated by pleasant staff everyday which made my holiday and stay even better. Planning my next trip already!!

First of all, the room was very spacious and clean. The bed was also comfortable. It can sometimes be taken for granted, the friendliness of the Balinese people, but the receptionists, the breakfast staff to the housekeeping staff were always so friendly helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price for us) had a good variety of western and Asian foods. We prefer to eat Asian food while in Bali and the food was tasty, not greasy. The hotel roof top pool and bar is a winner. It is only 3.5 m deep, but appears to provide a relaxing area with no one bomb diving, etc. Overall, the room was cleaned well each day, the food was enjoyable and I would recommend this hotel and the high level of staff service.

I’m sure a lot of people who stay a U Paasha have stayed before….it’s that good. My last stay was in mid 2022 so the hotel was still dragging itself out of the black hole that was Covid and it was a little worse for wear, but most of that has been rectified. The roof top pool is all spruced up with new loungers and is again a popular spot. In my way of thinking it would be a good guest support to have all the umbrellas up prior to pool opening hours and a restriction on ppl reserving loungers and spaces around the pool. So now onto the rooms, they are big, spacious sparkling clean, they are an oasis in the heart of crazy Seminyak, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and now you get a choice of pillows and toiletries. The housekeeping team do an amazing job keeping the rooms in pristine condition, nothing is overlooked an and any request is filled straight away. The food offer in all areas has improved immensely, with an even better offer than previously. The breakfast buffet is back to normal with a few tweaks, as in the variety is there but the volume is presented in smaller amounts which is replenished very quickly. Now here’s the only gripe, many Australians take coffee seriously and consider self serve coffee the poorest option and would only get it from a petrol station or 7/11 in the most desperate times, I think removing the barista made coffee at breakfast doesn’t appear to fit the overall modern vibe of the place, so much so that the two weeks I was there, every morning there was a steady stream of guests arriving at breakfast with take away cups of barista made coffee all with the tel-tale Revolver logo on the cups, and the word must have got around because there are heaps of guests doing it, and it’s nice t a good look for the hotel. Special mention to a few of the staff that make U Paasha what it is, firstly Detha who has looked after me on many visits, he goes above and beyond, there is a quality, genuineness and sincerity about him, and nothing is too much trouble. I had bit of tummy trouble and Tyo made me pots of ginger tea and was welcoming at breakfast every day with a smile that is priceless. The man responsible for the rooms was Summa, he made sure that everything was in order and to our liking, he’s warm, friendly and brilliant in his dedication to his job. So would I stay again?….ABSOLUTELY!

Upaasha is the ONLY hotel in Bali I have ever stayed at more than once, and I go to Bali a lot (outside the pandemic) There is a vibe that no other hotel has. And the heart and spirit of the hotel just has to be the staff, they take your breath away with their genuineness and sincerity. Right from being met at the airport we felt a confidence that things were going to be good. Check in was seamless, and handled by Detha (I’ll get back to him a bit later) the room was cool welcoming from the heat and humidity. The facilities in the room are good, however you no longer get to choose from a range of soaps and toiletries as I did in the past I’m thinking it might be a pandemic cost saving measure, but hopefully it will return when they are back in full swing. On the second day the aircon struggled to keep up to speed so Detha had me moved without the slightest hesitation. Back to the room, the rooms are larger than most other hotels and are kitted out with everything you could possibly want, bed, pillows and linen were fresh and spotless, the rooms cleaned to a gleaming finish each day by the friendliest team on the planet. At breakfast on the first day were met by staff who remembered me from my last stay which blew me away, the food offer is somewhat scaled back from pre pandemic time but still darn good, all prepared and served by the nicest bunch of ppl you could ever meet, the offer of “more coffee Mr Tony, more eggs Mr Tony, more anything Mr Tony”…and the same for my sister …all by name…what a way to start the day!!! Detha was telling me that the gym has now relocated to the street level and the spa is going to roof level which will be fantastic. At the moment the pool area is pretty hit n miss, the loungers and covers are worse for wear, I had to go pull covers myself every day from a pile of damaged ones in a shed. There’s only a few umbrellas on offer as well. I reckon it’s only reasonable to expect that these would all be in place before guests arrive in the morning. I’m sure it also needs to be considered that many of these things are the aftermath of the pandemic and in time they will return. Having said that, the food offer is very limited, I have been told that the rooftop bbq will return soon and I reckon that will breathe new life back into the rooftop which is an awesome area and one of the things that I love about the hotel. So having said all that Upaasha is my favourite hotel in Bali it’s location is unbeatable, the facilities are great and will even better, the rates make for great value (I booked seven days direct with the hotel) when we decided to extend our stay another week, Detha looked after that for us as well, whenever we needed or wanted anything he was our go to man, he would come from out of nowhere to see if everything was going ok and if we wanted anything or if there was anything he could do for us…his sincerity, generosity of spirit and friendship are what I love about the Balinese people and Detha optimises that notion….will I go back to Upaasha?…absolutely!!!

I loved so many things about my stay in U Paasha. The suite I stayed in on the ground floor was so quiet and I was never disturbed. So many breakfast options with great coffee in lovely surroundings of this beautiful hotel. Besides these aspects it was the staff that really shined for me. Everyone was so friendly and eager to be of service or simply available to chat. Tya, Alin, Aditya and Tony the manager helped get my Bali trip off to a magnificent start every day at breakfast or at reception. Once my safe box had a problem Suharta and Maychel had it fixed in under 10’minutes so I felt very reassured. The bed and pillows were perfect for me, aircon and decor all added to the comfort, and watching sunsets from the roof a real joy. If you’re going to Seminyak and need a place to call home, if even for a short while then stay at U Paasha :)

A perfect place to land after arriving in Bali. The room we stayed in had a huge, comfortable king size bed that was perfectly cozy after a long flight. The bathroom sink had nice counter space and we liked that the toilet was separated from the shower. If you want them to service the room daily you get two free water bottles each time which was much appreciated. The rooftop pool was very relaxing and the service team was there to bring you drinks. The staff is incredible, Welfry and Alin in particular were so helpful and courteous during our stay. Thanks to them and the team we felt completely safe and at ease during our four nights here. Also, the breakfast is out of this world. I’ve never seen so many options for a hotel breakfast buffet. I’d stay again just for that alone. Thank you to all the staff at U Paasha. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Seminyak.

My extended family and I through out a 4 week timeframe, all 11 of us, All stayed within this hotel, and I can not give a high enough review. All of the staff were amazing and memorable. The rooms and facilities were very nice and very spacious! Reception were very accomodating and amazing to deal with, even helped me make a special night of proposing to my now fiancé by romantically setting up our room, I personally dealt with Andy who was outstanding and I regularly stopped to talk with him throughout the trip. The cleaning staff were always friendly and up for a chat, and their speed and precision was excellent while doing so. And even the roof top pool was always clean and surrounding area very well maintained despite Covid. The servers at the bar, both upstairs and down at street level at “ Aero “ the late night caravan also owned by the hotel, were absolutely amazing! And again, everyone was very easy to talk to, very well prepared and happy to help with anything and everything! Asta, deny and all of the ladies and gentlemen who worked the bars were very nice and amazing to talk to! And even down to the security! Who I always spoke to as I walked past and regularly stopped for quite some time or spoke to whilst having a smoke, were absolutely beautiful! Often entertaining my questions and queries, and trying to teach me bits and pieces of Indonesian! Even the morning buffet and workers including were so accomodating, given the 11 of us every morning, would be more than happy to arrange tables and cutlery accordingly, with the food available being tasty, fresh and a huge variety, there was always something for everyone including our Gluten Free member. And the room service being the same!
This hotel absolutely MADE my holiday and made the experience of our family trip, I would highly recommend and I will defiantly be visiting again! Thankyou to the hotel, the staff and all the workers I didn’t see or get time to talk to!

We stayed 7 nights at this property from the 1st Jan 23 and despite being very central and amongst busy Seminyak we were not impacted by any noise. We stayed in Suite with a King size bed with a view on the 5th Floor and found the room very spacious along with great size bathroom which included a very spacious shower. Rooftop pool was lovely and quite large. Staff were warm, welcoming and happy to assist. Walking distance to shops, flea markets and Kudeta (highly recommend). Value for money and would definitely recommend this property. Thank you to all the staff at U Paasha Seminyak for making our stay enjoyable and welcoming.

Our family of 6 stayed here for a week and we absolutely LOVED it! The location is second to none (right on top of the Eat Street), the roof pool has great views and all the staff was just incredible - especially the restaurant crew that has made our stay truly memorable. Pros, great location for shops, bars etc, lots going on right outside the hotel. Recepion check in, very easy and smooth. Really helpful when I made the online booking, 10/10 for great customer service. All staff we met there were fantastic. Rooms really big, slippers and dressing gowns are a nice touch. Lots of towels but some smelt nicer /fresher than others. Quiet room with blackout curtains. Although the room had a funny smell at one point? Clean amenities, large bathroom. Only glass doors on the shower & toilet.. made sharing with the teenager awkward. Breakfast was very good, nice high quality selection of food. Cons, Our only issue was the incredibly loud thumping music around the pool… it wasn’t even ‘back ground’ music, it was in ya face club music. Why???? If people want this they go to one of the many beach clubs, couldn’t stay and relax around the pool because of this. Shame as its a nice roof top pool. Only 1 night stay, would have been really disappointed re the pool if we’d been there for a longer amount of time.

Our room didn't have a balcony (was on the 2nd floor) and/or we didnt use it as it looked onto concrete buildings next door (now view) + the room aircon is way better than the fresh air! There is a great rooftop pool and bar though.
G’day Emma, as I understand they are revamping the entire pool area including relocating the spa to where the gym was ( also on the roof.) To be honest I found it hard to get a sun bed if you get there later than about 10am and almost impossible to get an umbrella. I suspect it would be even harder during the school holidays. I was interested one day I went up early an grabbed a lounge only to be told that 15 in that area had been reserved?????…..I was a bit annoyed as they had all been set up etc….yet I had to go drag a cover out of the storage shed ( most were in disrepair) …But I’m sure there will be a way around it…..the staff will certainly help out it’s a very nice place to stay…….Hope that helps….Tony
