Nestled in a prime spot in Bali, Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak is a hit for its easy beach access and vicinity to local shops and attractions. The staff's friendliness and professionalism often receive commendations, adding to the hotel's value, which many guests appreciate.
With its inviting pools and range of dining options, amenities contribute positively to the stay experience, although there's some room for improvement. While the modern and spacious rooms are a highlight, a few guests mention noise as a downside.

This is my first time here and also first stay in Seminyak area, checked is done smoothly by Priscilla, that was quick, efficient, thanks for the welcome drink by the way :). Got my key and I immediately entered my room at 5th Floor.
Room: Huge! Spacious! Modern and the most important part of the room, the bed, it's huge and very comfortable, big TV with a lot of channel (but I can't find HBO there), got balcony and everything was perfect!
Bathroom: It's also huge! Got bathtub and shower room separately, a lot of amenities is provided by the hotel (shower cap, sanitary back, toothbrush, comb, body lotion, etc).
Pool Bar: Got tried their Pool bar, Febby and the other guy (I did not ask what his name unfortunately) take care of my order, I tried their Grand Mercure Smoothies, it's basically a healthy berries juice with coconut water but the taste is really nice, got a little chit chat with Febby, she is extremely friendly!
Restaurant: I tried their breakfast and not much variety but it's acceptable for me since they are just recently opened, (got information the Grand Opening will be on June or July if I'm not mistaken), but for the price you pay IDR 181.500 nett is very reasonable for the variety you got. And Febby also take care for the guests who have their breakfast there, she is really friendly and helpful to everyone there!
Overall is a great experience with them, the location was perfect near Seminyak Beach, a lot of restaurant, bar, mini store, supermarket, etc.
Thank you guys for made my first stay unforgettable! :)

As someone who spends approximately 100 nights a year in Hotels, and an Accor Diamond Member I get a good feel and can easily recognise where the Owners of this Hotel can with little expense add the the experience of this wonderful location. Some obvious improvements are as follows.
Firstly there is only 1 handrail to enter the pool for us more mature guests. The far side some 50m odd distance away has none.
The area adjacent to the end of the bar should be put under cover to join with the covered walkway. If the decking is also extended to it you could offer far more space for casual dining and bar service. This space could then become the smoking area, whereas the internal bar can be uncomfortable for the majority who are non smokers, which currently allows smoking.
The potential exists for a section of the Restaurant to divided into a more exclusive dining area by enclosing it with glazing and adding Air Conditioning to make a more comfortable experience for the guests, especially when the DJ is playing high volume music until 6-30 pm or so. It’s nearly impossible to have a conversation while dining with the volume of the music.
And while talking to a number of guests a common complaint is the mini fridges are all but ineffective as they are enclosed I a cabinet with little or no ventilation, which means they are running very hot and therefore not allowing drinks to get to anywhere near a desired temperature level. Maybe an ice machine should be available at the bar for the guests to use as you find in many American Hotels and provide a plastic ice bucket in each room for the guests.
I have enclosed photos of some of these comments.
What I’m hoping for is that on my next visit I can see the owners giving the Management team the resources to rectify these issues to become a truly 5 star resort , that is its potential.
Now as to the location, 150m to the beach with very little traffic, that is a huge issue in Bali. It’s in an ideal spot and almost without exception the staff are very attentive and always willing to assist in your needs. Love the large pools which allows a good swimming distance of 40m or so to pump out some serious laps if you are prepared to get up early before the masses crowd the pool. I enjoyed the breakfast choices and the casual ding menu during happy hours.
As my late father told me many years ago “ you have to spend a dollar to make a dollar “

My husband and I stayed at this new property a couple of weeks ago. As I had worked in hotels for over 15 years we did speak to the Manager with some feedback.
All in all the property is new, the rooms lovely and big (we had the junior suite) and nice and clean. The pool was a great size for a Bali pool and the water was actually cold! There are not enough sun beds but they are aware and have apparently ordered more. The restaurant was nice and big but breakfast wasn’t amazing. The food on the buffet wasn’t hot enough but we overcame that by ordering ‘fresh’ and most mornings this seemed to work. The Head Chef is well aware of this problem. He was lovely and accommodating to needs. Feeby was also great in the Restaurant.
On check in we were asked to provide a pre-authorisation and this is fine BUT as I explained this should just be the rules and not ask people. They said if you provide a pre-auth you can then charge to your room but this communication never seemed to get through to the staff when you tried to order something. If it was a ‘rule’ then the staff in the bar or restaurant wouldn’t have to check every time. It would just be presumed the front desk were holding a pre-authorisation.
For a new hotel you always expect some teething problems and the staff we spoke to are aware and trying their best. There are some very young staff working, ie 15 year olds in the bar and restaurant. The staff everywhere really tried to please.
We had one issue with housekeeping which I would like to address to the manager in a private email.
The hotel is in a great location, but if you are looking for a quiet place to have a drink then this isn’t the place. The music was very loud and many people commented but the staff (again very young) didn’t seem to take this on board and never turned it down.
We were on a luxury escapes deal this trip so It was good value for money.
Special mention to Daood (apologies if spelt incorrectly) as he went above and beyond for us.
If you are considering this hotel I would definitely upgrade to the suite and ask for a room away from the pool.

The hotel is near the beach, the bedroom is big and clean, and the staff is nice, however not all of them speak English, very often you have to repeat yourself. Upon checking, our safe box was not working, rang reception and was told it will be a while before someone comes to check. Bath towel had stains on it, had to ring to get a hair dryer, our phone in the room was not set up so was the TV. Asked reception if someone could pick up our laundry, we had to make 3 calls until someone comes to the room. Breakfast was average, not a variety and food was almost cold. Had dinner there one night and we were disappointed with the food, mine was lukewarm and the place was not that busy for dinner. It is definitely not a 5-star hotel, it would seem that the staff was not trained enough. Overall it was ok not a place that I will go again or recommend.

The hotel is right across the street from a major construction site, so it is noisy.
In my opinion, this is a three star property trying to be a five star. Right from the moment you try to check in – it is amateur hour and frustrating, and you wish you chose a completely different hotel.
The pool area is cold, in the shade, uninviting and there is not enough deck chairs around the pool for the number of people staying in the hotel. If you are lucky enough to get a deck chair, they are so old and saggy that you may as well sit on the concrete near the pool.
The rooms are large and spacious and well equipped. The air conditioning worked well, the beds were comfortable.
The bathroom is large and has a bath-tub. The bathroom lighting was very dim and could do with some extra lighting. The towels were very old and threadbare and unpleasant to use. The amount of toiletries provided was not enough for two people who shower twice a day.
The day spa is worth avoiding. Premium price for a substandard service. Booked in for a Balinese Massage for my husband and myself, only to be face down staring at a dirty floor with dust balls and a dried leaf debris instead of a tranquil bowl of flowers. I was massaged with rancid oil which I would not wash off and get the horrible smell off my skin. Whilst getting massaged all you could hear if the spa reception phone ringing, it was not the tranquil and relaxing experience you would expect from a hotel day spa.
As my feedback at the day spa I did point out the dust balls and the leaf debris, when I pointed out these things the therapist picked up the leaf debris, each therapist blamed one another for the lack of cleaning and then apologised to me, however the apology is a little too late since they already charged me for both massages and wasted our time. I was wishing for the treatment to be over as I was struggling to breath from the dust from underneath the massage table. Not an enjoyable experience and probably the worst experience that I have had in a hotel spa where you expect cleanliness and professionalism especially for the price that they are charging.
There is a construction site across the street that is very noisy, I requested to change rooms several times but was told ‘no madam’ and only when I requested my money back to re-locate to another hotel because of the noise, I was found a room facing an empty block of land with overgrown weeds which they called ‘jungle view’, which was better than the first option I was given, which was that they will find me a pair of ear plugs? nice to know that that this hotel really looks after their valued Accor Members. Eventually we were moved to a room at the back of the property which was quiet and make the rest of the stay at this property bearable.
Accor members are not recognised for their loyalty. I have never stayed at a hotel where they made me feel like a second-class citizen or an inconvenience. My recommendation is go to another hotel, where you will receive nicer treatment and more value for money.

Dear limeclaw, Om Swastyastu, Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. The Grand Mercure exceeded our expectations! My teenage son and I spent 4 nights in Bali staying at this lovely new resort, and it was like an oasis with fabulous pools, facilities and very warm friendly and always helpful staff. The twin deluxe room we resided in was very spacious and overlooked the pool area, had most comfortable beds, a large bathroom and was kept extremely clean by housekeeping. The breakfast was delicious and we also thoroughly enjoyed the dinners we had at the hotel. Thank you Grand Mercure Seminyak team, and look forward to seeing you again!

We had the most special time at Grand Mecure Seminyak.
We felt welcome from arrival to departure.
We were greeted with a welcome drink and treated to a room upgrade. Our rooms were lovely and quiet, they overlooked the pool.
Our housekeeper was so very kind and initiated some minor works to our room at no inconvenience to us. Thank you Wahyu Adnyana, our room was always cared for so beautifully.
The restaurant is not the typical hotel tasting food. Normally we eat at local restaurants but the food was so good we chose to eat at the restaurant most days.
The included breakfast was fresh, plentiful and changed daily. One of the best hotel breakfasts we have had.
Room and pool service was prompt and served beautifully.
We often used taxi apps to order taxis at the hotel but if there was a problem a staff member was very quick to assist.
We felt very safe at the hotel, it was gated and vehicles were checked before entry permitted.
The location of the hotel is excellent. A very quick walk to the beach. A stroll to Bintang Supermarket. A cheap taxi ride into Seminyak square.
Whilst we didn't use the Spa the pricing of massages was excellent.
Thank you Grand Mecure Seminyak. We have already recommended your hotel and we have friends booking in for August.
We will be back

Frequent holiday takers to Bali, we are thoroughly enjoying our stay in this new, clean Hotel. Great large room (529), blissfully quiet, comfortable bed & pillows.
Right on the beach at start of Seminyak & within easy walking distance to great restaurants & shopping along Double Six Rd.

We highly rate this hotel for the cost.

my last stay at an accor property was at rixos almaty in luly 2023.It was truly exceptional.
This was on the other side.
Check in was smooth. The reception looked worn out. Enquired and realized that the property was less than an year old.
Reached room.A funny sewerish smell was overhanging. Probably my mind working with travel. The shower had dispensers for shampoo and showe gel(in the name of saving environment)Took out my own toiletries. The bath tub could not be used because I need to keep on going back and forth to the dispense to get the soap.
The ordeal began. I could hear the telephone conversation on the pillow side.
Once that closed, I could hear the television being played on the other side.
Once that closed too, I could hear the party on the terrace below because five feet from the pillow, on the terrace there was a service duct housing mechanical equipment which was working like a sound amplifier. No guesses.....The glass is not DGU.
Raised the issue at the reception the next morning. They sounded amazed as if we were the first guests raising such an issue. WE will look into it.
The breakfast was ok. The Indian selection was barely eatable.
One more night of the same torture.Next morning, I requested the chef bagus to look at some more alternatives to Indian food. The reception told me that they were looking.
Evening there was an apology note with two pieces of pastry.
Third night gone.
Morning arrives and at breakfast table a chirpy young lady by the name of Panca(pronounced in rhyme with panchaa) came over and deeply apologized to us.No solution still. The food has Indian parathas with daal.
So went the fourth night too. and we went away.

Your feedback is crucial to us, and I genuinely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the shortcomings and the lack of prompt resolution to the issues raised during your stay. Your comments have been shared with the relevant teams for immediate attention and improvement. The Grand Mercure Bali in Seminyak has only been open for 10 months. It is really a Grand Hotel. The Foyer area invites you in to experience the relaxing, vibrant, comfortable pleasures of this beautiful Hotel.
The sparkling clean waters of the enormous swimming pool are very inviting with a swim up bar at one end, and the upmarket Batur Restaurant on one side of it. The food served in the restaurant is presented beautifully and tastes amazing. Breakfast is also served in the large area with many different areas to sit and enjoy the deliciously fresh cuisines available.
The rooms are open and very comfortable.
Service is impeccable. Special thanks to Dimas and Bisma for their friendly and professional service in the Restaurant.
Also special thanks to Mathias, the Front office Manager for making our visit such a memorable and pleasant one.

Hi. Grand Mercure is 1x block back from the beach so approx 3mins walk. They don’t have any beachfront allocated area so we just sat at one of the many beachfront bar areas - these are generally pretty available to suit!
There is happy hour at the poolside bar and was 2 for 1 type deals when we were there in June ‘24. Breakfast also has plenty of options and a barista onsite to make coffee fresh for you however you like! Good alternative tea options as well as hot chocolate also available.
We didn't have children with us, but talking to others they organised Babysitting services privately, it's very inexpensive in Bali, I'm sure if you ask at reception they'd point you in the right direction. I saw a couple with young children who hired a Nanny to watch their kids in the pool, an extra pair of hands
Yes and free bottles of water too, replenish all every day
