Kima Bali paid particular attention to recreating the genuine Bali feeling when designing the surf camp in Seminyak. Cosy and stylish double and shared bed rooms, each with their own bathrooms and terraces, are located at the natural stone pools surrounded by a tropical garden. One pool has a comfortable, bubbly jacuzzi and the other one features a pool bar with special cocktail menu. All rooms on Bali meet western criteria and feature hot water, ventilation or A/C. Our lounges, some with sofas and some with bean bags, invite you to relax and rest between surfing sessions. All guests enjoy free WIFI at our surf camp in Seminyak. Just a few minutes’ walk from your camp are some legendary beach breaks, such as Halfway, Padma, Gado-Gado and KuDeTa. These breaks are perfect for beginners and are an ideal contrast to the daily surfaris to all the surf spots on Bali with our camp cars. Numerous shops, bars, clubs and restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk.

No matter what level of surfer you are this place has it all, nestled close to the beach breaks of Seminyak this surf camp has an organised but relaxed feel. Guiding is available for all surfing levels from absolute beginner surf schooling to practically pro.

The surf guides are all Bali locals, super friendly, excellent coaches and genuinely interested in improving your surfing skills. Patrick was a stand out!

The camp has everything you need to relax after a session in the surf, great pools, onsite kitchen, yoga, massage, you name it. The staff are exceptionally attentive and really try to make your experience a great one.

One of the impressive values of The Green Room is it’s focus on the environment and sustainability, from small things like unlimited filtered water to the fabric tote bag system for nearby shopping and their use of glass straws. They have a real focus on the environment and reduction in plastic waste that’s a great local solution to maintaining Bali’s natural beauty.

If you’re trying to decide who to surf camp in Bali with definitely put Kima on your list 👌🏻

Had the best time at this beautiful surf camp. The cosy accommodation is like an oasis in the heart of Seminyak. The beautiful pools refresh you during a hot day and the friendly restaurant staff will read your lips when it comes to tasty and healthy food at any time of the day. Even though the closest beach is only a few minutes walk away the surf guides don’t spare any effort in bringing you to the best spot for your surf level and style. I always felt secure and well guided when being in the water with these guys. Highly recommended if you’re searching for a good surf camp with a nice vibe in Bali, no matter if you’re a beginner or intermediate in surfing.

Kima Seminyak has everything your heart desires. If you want to surf well, eat well and meet like minded people this is the place to be! Coming to Kima Seminyak fast the best decision, it is carefree and everything is well organised. The surf guides went the extra mile to take me to secret surf spots, and they are passioned entertainers outside of the water as well. Every tuesday they organise a sunset gathering with beer and life music by very talented surf guides which gives the camp the extra tropical vibe.

The Kima Seminyak Surfcamp provides excellent surf lessons for all ability levels. The surfcoaches always look for the best surfspots and organize surf sessions at the local beaches as well as daytrips to other surfspots. After surfing, the camp offers enough options to relax, like several pools, chilling areas as well as yoga and massage. The food in the camp is very good, you need to check the asian icetea, delicious!

I don’t even know where to begin about my amazing time at the Green Room/Kima Surf. It was by far one of the best decisions I had ever made for my first solo trip and leaving was by far the hardest thing to do after being there almost a month.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful where whenever I needed something they went above and beyond to help me.

The surf guides were knowledgeable and their advice and teachings not only enabled me to advance my surf skills but my love and respect for the ocean grew even more just from hearing their stories.

The cleanliness was 5 star, the food was tasty and the vibes were groovy.

At one point I had checked out of the property to explore a bit more of what Bali had to offer, to only miss my Kima Family and book back into the hostel 4 days later for the last part of my trip which I’m so glad I did.

I didn’t just go to a hostel at Kima, I found a new home and a new family. I can’t wait to come back later this year and miss it already.

Had the best time of my life. The surfcamp is really spacious has a lot of cool places to chill out and it has two amazing pools aswell which we literally used every single day.

The surfguides did a really good job in instructing. We were having a really good time out there in the ocean. Loved spending time with them...

The camp also offers different activities like sunset jamsessions, barbeques and bonfires which have been highly appreciated by myself!

I’m looking forward to staying at Kima as soon as possible...

Cheers

What can I say…
This place has been great.
They have everything covered - they coordinate everything you need for accomodation, surf and other activities. The rooms are good, staff always smiling, surf instructors are helpful, and if you want to organise anything else in Bali they can do it at a competitive rate. 5 stars for the masseuse they get in too!
Additionally the people that chose to stay here are awesome and so much more respectful than in other hostels, quietly coming in when people are sleeping and just being all round good humans. Maybe it’s the type of people a surf camp attracts, maybe it’s the great vibe you get when you walk in the door.
I’m so glad I left me beach resort to come here and I will definitely return here every time I’m in Bali.
If you do stay here, start introducing yourself to whoever is on the couches as soon as you walk!
Thank you to all the staff you have all been great.
See you next trip Kima Seminyak! ❤️

Kima Surf Camp is an amazing place to visit, whether you’re an experienced surfer or have never surfed before. The vibe and atmosphere is great. Everyone is chill and laid back and super friendly. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always laughing and joking and spending time with the visitors. The surf guides are the best in Bali. Incredibly experienced, great at choosing locations, positioning you in the lineup and helping you catch waves and give great feedback. They’re also some of my favourite people, they go out of their way to spend time at the camp, hanging out, playing cards, making music, inviting us out to events... I make sure to spend time at Kima every time I’m in Bali.

We had a great time at Kimasurf seminyak. The staff and surfguides are super friendly and motivated. Breakfast is amazing and surfing was a lot of fun. You get a lot of information in the surfschool and the poolsessions are a lot of fun too. 4 out of 5 because its still very expensive and surfschool isnt included even if it says the camp for beginners so we had to add it (we never surfed before)
I think board rental, insurance and surfschool should be included in the price

Hello Sophia, We are pleased you had a great experience and fun time at our camp in Seminyak. We thank you for your feedback as we’re keen on providing the best surf holiday for every guest can get. At the same time, we believe it’s highly important to approach surfing in the best possible way for anyone starting with it, that’s why we developed 5 days learn-to-surf course which comes at an extra price. This is because, unlike the surf-guided sessions, always included 7 days a week, twice a day, we believe learning to surf requires extra attention, we provide that by having 2:1 guests to surf guides ratio, a pool session to refresh the techniques learnt in the ocean and dedicated video analysis to learn from the mistakes. Moreover, surfboard rental & insurance are always included in the learn to surf package, they’re extras only for the guided sessions and allow us to provide the best in class equipment to our guests. Additionally, not everyone add the renting option to their booking as we have many returning customers which bring their own board an it would be unfair to them if we charge a flat rate to every guest. As you might have experienced surfing is one of the best and most fun sports out there. Furthermore, it can be experienced at all levels that’s why we market and have included surf-guided sessions for beginners too which is different, however, to the first time trying out to ride a wave. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to surf again and we would love to have you back in one of our camps. Thanks, The KIMA team.

Hi, you need to pay extra for surf guiding, surfboard, surfboard insurance (they are very strict on little scratches) - the coaching is rather limited. You get some hints after the session what to improve. They are great in choosing good spots and take you all over the island.
