A very warm welcome at arrival, with fruit juice, fruit, and lovely people. The bedroom was wonderfully cool due to the air conditioning having been left on for our arrival. The villa is very traditional, beautiful and everywhere was as spotless as possible considering the indoor/outdoor living.bed linen and towels were immaculate and smelled gorgeous. Breakfasts were wonderful, and we had the dine in villa experience one evening which was amazing! The staff could not do enough for us. Walk to beach 10 mins, same to Seminyak centre. Would recommend this place and hope to come back.

This place is incredible. The staff are all amazing, the Villas are well maintained and the pool is huge. It's down a quiet gang, still close to main areas that you can easily walk to. Massages just around the corner, a great Warung with friendly staff and the food is authentic and really tasty. The beach is a 2 minute walk. The staff organised a birthday cake for me which was a beautiful gesture and very much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Our first visit since 2019 and it was great to be back. Wonderful to see the cheerful and efficient staff, the service here is second to none. The villas here are huge, our one bedroom Royal villa (8) covers over 400 sqm with a fully enclosed air conditioned bathroom and outdoor shower. The pool is a good size and a large lawn and gardens giving a feeling of space. Daily breakfast choice of usual eggs pancakes etc or Indonesian. We have already booked for next February 😊

Shhhh! here’s a secret. The spa here is unassuming yet very well established. I have been coming here since 2009. Masseurs Meta and Man work absolute magic with their skills. I have held off for this long because I claim them as mine. Now wiling to share….You’re welcome.

We were welcomed to the Villa being picked up by Gede who is a lovely man. Recommend him for day trips if needed. Staff were helpful and lovely. They have security at night too. Also used the hotel to book TIc which is the express service at the airport for $60AUD each.

We were a bit shocked about the location when arrived.
Nothing around us, although there is a convenient store about 50m up the road.
Rooms are lovely and clean, although the bedrooms are separated, so have to walk outside to get to other room. Not suitable when you have young kids. Otherwise everything including kitchen, lounge and bathrooms are all outside.

Mossies were fine with coils which are out out regularly.
Breakfast was lovely too, although we choose to eat out twice. Sisterfields is amazing in Seminyak.
Make sure to download Gojek. Saved us as too too hot in Dec to walk .7km to Seminyak down dark narrow streets etc.
We booked with Luxury Escapes. Never again as we saw our Villa advertised $1200 cheaper and couldn’t cancel.

After 4 years I had the pleasure of staying 14 nights at my home away from home Bali Villa Asri.. was so good to be back! I’ve stayed here for many years and to see all the staff.. who are also my friends was amazing! A big thank you to Iluh ( I so enjoyed our cooking together), Ketut, Boy and all the staff for making me feel so loved & looked after. I stayed in Villa 7 and enjoyed some much needed relaxation. I will be back soon! Amanda xxx

This was our second visit to Villa Bali Asri having previously stayed in Villa # 1 in November 2006 for five nights.

We choose one of the new villas (6 to 11) for our trip this time and settled on Villa # 8 based on the photo's from their website. This was a very good choice as it is by far the biggest of the one bedrooms villas with a fantastic sense of space in the outdoor areas including the largest outdoor bathroom I have ever seen complete with a lily pond and water feature. The staff commented a number of times during our stay that villa # 8 was their favourite.

We were picked up at the airport by a very happy driver which was great considering that the plane was 45 minutes late and it took us 1 and 1/2 hours to get through VOA and we didn't emerge from the airport until past 11.30pm local time. On arrival we were taken directly to our villa and shown through the place by a member of staff and provided with a welcome drink.

The new villas are of the highest contruction standards and are finished off very well. The interiors are modern but built with natural materials such as stone, marble and wood which gives the place a sense of classic style and enhances the feeling of outdoor living. Too many of the new villas in the area are ultra modern which will date very quickly and be hard to maintain.

As part of the package you get breakfast cooked in your villa each morning by one of the staff and includes coffee, tea, juice, fruit platter and choice of toast/pastry, eggs/bacon or bannana pancakes.

We spent most of out time reading under the outdoor bale by the large pool or the daybed contained within the main open pavillion under the cooling fan.

The villas are located within a 5 minute walk of Seminyak beach, which can then walked along to great restautants such as Gado Gado, Ku De Ta, Breezes and La Lucciola. You are also only a short cab ride from Jl Laksmana for more restaurants or Jl Raya Seminyak for homeware shopping.

The villas now also have a small gym and spa which can be used by the guests, I tried one of the massages which was great and only RP150,000. They can be taken in your own villa (which I did) and they will come down and set-up everything. Should you wish to go out for massages/treatments then Bodyworks II and Jari Manari are both well prices and provide great service in the area.

The staff as usual were very friendly and did their up most to help but were also not intrusive.

Overall after staying and looking at many villas in the Seminyak area I beleive these ones to be a very good option in terms of location, price and true island style (albeit with a modern twist). You won't go wrong with spending part of your holiday here.

This was my third trip to Bali and by far the best. I found Villa Bali Asri by surfing the web. The photos looked almost too good to be true and the prices were within my budget. I booked Villa 6 (one bedroom) since the layout was most appealing to me. Upon arrival, I must admit that the villa exceeded even my critical expectations. VIlla 6 through 11 were just completed in August 2007. Villa 1 through 5 are a little older, but still very nice. Each unit is individually owned as investment properties. Therefore, each unit is furnished according to the taste of the owner. The staff is absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Morning breakfast is exactly on time and excellent, with several selections from American to Indonesian style. Whatever you needed, be it restaurant reservations, taxi, car / motorbike rental, etc. the staff is very efficient and quick. The complex is located between the Sofitel and Oberoi resorts. You could not ask for a more convenient location within an easy reach few minutes reach of Jl. Laksmana (Eats Street) and several excellent restaurants to choose from. I felt perfectly comfortable walking around the neighborhood. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away. But why go when the pools are large and relaxing. You won't go wrong with this place.

My fiance & I just got back home a few hours ago and I felt compelled to write about our experience at VBA. We stayed in Villa 7 for 6 nights and were blown away by the tranquillity and the beauty of our villa. We are in our early 30's, like adventure, luxury and fine dining. We're getting married in December and wanted a pre wedding getaway.

The property is perfectly located in Seminyak. Close to the hustle and bustle of the shopping and restaurant hub, and a short walk to Ku de Ta and the beach. We hired a scooter at reception for $5 a day and it cost $1 to refill after day 5. A scooter will get you anywhere in Seminyak in a few mins. It changed the experience of our week having that convenience and excitement of experiencing the streets at our fingertips. If scooters aren't your thing in the crazy traffic of bali then a cab will cost you $2 to mostly anywhere in seminyak and are readily available.

VBA is located down a long narrow street which backs on to the Oberoi and Ku de Ta at one end and the shopping district at the other. It shares this street with The Elysian, Kresna and a few other villas. Location wise as said previously, we loved it. VERY central, yet private.

The gardens are beautifully landscaped and although it doesn't look like much from the street, the villas simply breathtaking. We had all day sun in our 1 Br Villa 7, and we also had 3 turtles in our pond with other fish (the only villa with turtles I was told). We decided to stay poolside over the beach most days. Coming home to our villa from shopping or a night out was the highlight of our trip. We visited a different fine dining establishment every night of our 6 night stay and VBA was just the tonic to come home to. A true haven in every sense.

The staff are all delightful. They cook breakfast at your leisure, clean the villa etc, although we did find on SEVERAL occasions they would enter our villa unannounced for house keeping duties. Not a good thing but we dealt with it. Breakfast was good but not amazing.

We were moved to villa 10 (3br villa) for the final day as our flight home was at 10pm and were charged $150 for the day. The villa was obviously bigger than 7 being a 1BR but we did not like the layout as there were trees obscuring the pool for sunbaking and it was a 2min walk off the street if you don't have a scooter.

Bear in mind that all the Villas are open plan. This is exactly what we wanted, and thought that the honeymoon netting around our bed was a nice but unnecessary touch, until we realised that it was in fact a mosquito net. I should clarify that the bedrooms are totally closed inside the villa's building. There was no netting around the beds in villa 10. I was told that the villas are all privately owned by Europeans and Australians and so no two villas are furnished the same.

We were absolutely mauled by mosquitos on the first night but we were much the wiser from there on. They would close the bed in with the netting and fumigate the room with fly spray in the afternoon whilst your out without drowning your sheets and pillows in fly spray. It worked for us. The staff make sure your villa is equipped with repellents and they keep coils burning. The shower, kitchen, toilet and bathroom are all exposed to the elements. The toilet in our 1BR had little privacy but is located at the back of the villa and totally private should any of the staff enter, but we were ok with that too.

The negatives are all minor issues that can be dealt with. Mosquitos are everywhere in Bali not just here.

We spent HOURS looking for the perfect villa. I narrowed it down to Asri, MACA villas and a couple of others. I inspected them ALL over the week especially MACA as it was on my shortlist and I will openly say that Asri is the one! We hit a hole in one on our first trip to Seminyak and the others we inspected were not in the same league. Its HEAVEN. And is underpriced in our opinion after seeing some competition. We tossed up hotels vs Villas and glad we chose the villa. Privacy was invaluable, and you can still use surrounding resort facilities at your discretion. We had lunch at Anantara (Which is a 5min walk), cocktails at Oberoi (next door) and coffee at MACA villas.

We also visited Ayara resort to go to the rock bar and waited 2 hrs in line before leaving empty handed. That's for another review... We are going back to Villa Bali Asri very soon. Stop your hours of searching TA and just book it. I wasted hours! I actually don't want to spread the word too much so that we can easily find availability on our next visit, but they deserve all the business they get. Thank you Villa Bali Asri!

Don't bother - take whatever you can legally with you in your bags or duty free. Wines of any sort in Bali are ridiculously expensive. Beers are good though!
