This place is nice. A little run down so it doesn't look like much from the outside down however the room was cool and comfortable. Some mosquitoes as would be expected in the garden setting. Coils supplied, room sprayed and bed has a mosquito net. We would stay again.

Considering this is a three star hotel. I found the experience of staying here very relaxing and value for money. I was here for two weeks. The food was exceptional with a wide variety of Indonesian and western cuisine on the menu. The food was consistent every day . The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless and cleaned every day. Air conditioning was fantastic. Staff were just beautiful,nothing was a problem for them. I will be returning for sure ! Ian

Our extended family had the perfect stay at the Bali Mystique! Some of us stayed in the Villa Mystique, a hidden sanctuary complete with our own dining and entertainment area, and pool whilst other members of the family stayed in the surrounding Bali Mystique bungalows and apartments. There was not one complaint from anyone about the accommodation or service we received. The food in the restaurant was really good as well. Christmas Day was made memorable by the delicious lunch and entertainment provided by Norman and his fabulous staff! This was the first time we had been away from home for Christmas and you made us feel like part of the family. Thank you so much for having us and we will definitely be back.

Another great experience with at the Bali Mystic . Although a little dated it’s a clean & tidy hotel .. the location is amazing and staff very friendly and go above & beyond for you.

Visited Bali for the first time in 5 years, Hotel still welcoming and had the same friendly atmosphere. Dessert menu was limited but apart from that meals were good quality.
Price for accommodation still good value.

Me and my wife spent here a total of five nights, and will never come back. The rooms seemed fine at the beginning, but after a while we realized how old they are and in what conditions they're left. More than once during the night and the morning I found roaches around the room and the luggages, and I killed more than half a dozen spiders. One of them was a big one my wife found in the toilet, and after killing it nobody took it away until we left (see picture). I'm sure it's still there (if you want to check, room 117). The room is dirty, old, and falling apart, the toilet is incredibly dirty, with spider nets everywhere, the floor full of hair, and the phone disgusting. All of the lobby area seems abandoned, the swimming pool looks like has been cleaned ten years before, the in-pool bar is not in function and used as a deposit for all sort of stuff. There were six empty bootles of beer that have been left on a pool side table for all of the five days we spent there. The breakfast (à la carte) is terrible. We always had to wait at least 15 minute to get a burned pancake and two slices of toasted (old) bread. The only part that can be saved is the staff, that is always very gentle and polite. But that's a common thing you'll find in every property in Bali. Overall, never again!

Visited 28 December 2018 for 6 days. After much research I thought it was a nice hotel and booked a bungalow. When we arrived we had to carry our cases down a flight of stairs, the only way to get to the rooms. When we entered our bungalow I was so disappointed I cried. The room was dirty, the shower was dirty and mouldy. We complained about the cleanliness of the room and were sent a cleaner to clean the shower, but it was still mouldy. The floors were not swept in the 6 days we were there, dead bugs all around the floors. Bed sheets felt dirty. Again, in the time we were there we did not see anyone maintain the pool, it wasn't clean. I asked if I could have a pool towel and was told to collect my own towel from the laundry, which is open to the public, there were towels in piles on the floor, the laundry was dirty. I found the staff to be unhelpful and lazy. I was very, very disappointed and will NOT stay there again and do not recommend.

The positive reviews on TripAdvisor must be meant for somewhere else or something has radically changed with this cafe. Our experience was waiting an hour to be delivered an extremely disappointing, small portioned brunch. The fresh fruit and yogurt that was meant to be included was never delivered. The included coffee was not able to be served as the machine was broken, however we think we were charged for the substitutions but can't be sure as the till receipt was confusing.The advertised priced appears attractive but this is not at all value for money. Wish we'd taken a picture of what was actually delivered.

The hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants, the beach and nice shops. I stayed in a quiet garden bungalow, which while wasn't huge was sufficient for our stay. I paid around $680 AUD for a seven night stay which I thought was well priced for the area. The hotel arranged a great driver for us, and at 350,000.00 for a day out in Ubud, visiting Rice Terraces, Luwaks and the Monkey Forrest it was well worth it. When we tried to give the driver a tip he gave us the extra money back, thinking we had made a mistake. The hotel also does not push their transport/drivers, they are more than happy to arrange a Bluebird to take you to the airport or where ever if you prefer. The downsides would be: Security isn't the best, a piece of shade cloth type material (covering bathroom window 50cms from ground) is the only thing protecting someone from entering your bathroom/villa, this could easily be pushed in or cut. Hot water in shower lasted 2 minutes at the most, despite telling the front desk about this on 3 occasions it was never fixed. Make sure you write down everything you have laundered if you are using their laundry service. This was the first time I have never been given a list to tick off which I though was unusual. When I didn't receive an expensive pair of trousers back, they shrugged their shoulders, I had to search for them myself and found them tucked away in an obscure part of the laundry.

The Mystique is one of the last garden hotels left in Bali. The pathway to the bungalows meanders through lush colourful trees and plants, songbirds call to you, while squirrels jump around high inthe trees. All this right in the middle of Seminyak with all the hustleand bustle, shops, resturants, bars and nightlife. An oasis of tranquility. It is small and friendly and there is always somebody to chat with either at the bar or even while sitting outside the bungalows. The owner Norman is usually on had for a chin wag and he is one of the most delightful gentleman you will ever meet. If bungalows are not you the have modern appartments to choose from too. Single, no problem here as you will never be alone or want for company. There are two pools to choose from, one infront of the appartments street side, the other garden side with plenty of shade. Food here is good and inexpensive. There are over 50 TV channels to watch and the wifi coverage is excellent. Sall it may be but it has a big heart. I have bee comming here for over 15 years and I shall return again.

Pool bar is open during the day and there always be a staff in the restaurant to look after the pool bar and there is also a bel in the pool bar connecting to the restaurant just incase our restaurant staff busy and give less attenton to the pool bar.
