Could not fault a thing about the hotel, the staff are brilliant, the service is excellent and the grounds are well kept, and probably the biggest pool on the planet. The food was stunning and nothing was too much trouble for the chefs

From the pick up at the airport to reception to my food and service this place stands tall. Immaculate attention to detail, friendly service impeccable accommodations and palatial grounds. This hotel has it all (except alcohol). The golf course looks like PGA quality with breathtaking vistas and perfect greens. Everyone is so helpful and always smiling. The hotel design allows...

Wonderful place with great, extremely well trained staff. Everyone was very nice and remembered who we were....and we only stayed a few days. Great experience.....great chef......and they have hot yeast rolls!....wonderful meals.....although we watched specific pastries in the Zest food shop.....they were on display for 5 days! the exact same ones....they weren't even turned on their papers....we took photos and...

This is the 2nd time my husband & I have stayed here & it didn't disappoint. We choose this on either our way out or way home from Australia. As we travel Royal Brunei Airlines, this seems the sensible thing to do. On arrival we are greeted as though we are honoured guests & this continues throughout the stay. Although...

Once intended to be a royal palace, the hotel is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and pristine beaches. At first, this enormous property feels too big, but you get used to it and the buggies take you around. The...

Very dissapointed that after forking out an impressive sum to pay for an annual membership that the last 2 months was cut short due to a fire and pool maintenance. We received no recompense despite having no access to the facilities we had paid in good faith to use. Despite letters to the management nothing was done. Ruined what was...

This is my first contribution on tripadvisor yet I have traveled a fair bit. I have decided to break the rule and share my experience having stayed at the Empire for a week with my fiance. This is not a review because to review implies that there may be good points about a place and aspects which could be improved...

I've traveled to 130+ countries to-date while visiting all 193 U.N. recognized countries, staying at the best hotels wherever I go, and let me assure you that there is no finer hotel in Brunei than the Empire. I've stayed at the Burj al Arab in Dubai and this is one of the few hotels that even approximated the Burj's grandeur...
