A few hotel properties offer the same grandure as you drive through the entrance and arrive at the hotel. The rooms offer a stunning view of the south China Sea, and the many pools and beautiful landscaping throughout the property.
The concierge service is top-notch, with Saufeil, Norizam, Mohammed, and Lynn standing out as exemplary warm staff. Ms Rashmi impressively runs a top notch hotel and I enjoyed my encounters with her.
The gym and country club facility is to die for… What amazing luxury and choices for getting in shape, and of course the pool and its many incarnations are spectacular, complete with standup paddle boards and canoes. Wonderful!

Well, the only hotel in the city with the five star rating. Enjoy your stay with your choice of available rooms near the sea or the lagoon area where golfers usually stay. Golf course is good and the facilities are very clean and elegant. They have new renovated facilities in front of the beach which is great. Photo shoot is definitely a must because of the view and their architecture. Try their buffet during the weekends, it is mix western and asian cuisine. Their hotel room are very nice even their toilet, honeymooners can enjoy their bathtub inside their room. Price is a bit high but its worth paying for. You can enjoy outdoor activities and hotel amenities.

Stayed 10 days at the Empire for a work trip and was absolutely blown away by the hotel.
Jaw dropping extravagance from the entry foyer to the pool and ocean views right around to the different wings of the hotel.
The food offerings were lovely and service was friendly, helpful, responsive and consistent.
Room sizes for the double rooms were enormous, we felt like we were in a royal suite and the balcony was huge also.
WIFI was good quality and there was pretty much everything you needed on site.
The movie theatre, gym, pool, tennis/squash and billiard areas were awesome and there was even a female only workout room.
Great place to stay particularly for a healthy and wholesome getaway.
No alcohol available on premise as Brunei is an Islamic nation but with all the luxury, I didn't even miss the wine.

Another awesome holiday at the Empire Hotel Brunei with its 6 star service and fine food it was a great relaxing hotel to enjoy the many facilities at the Resort like own cinema ; ten pin bowling alley ; indoor basketball courts and myriad of pools and slides. Then there is the food and many choices.

The staff of course make the Empire ; ably led by Director of Operations Brett ; they are always with smile and courteous attention to detail in particular Maricon in the Breakfast Buffett and Brazilla on the front desk ; all the staff go over and above to make you feel special. Plenty to see outside with a safe environment day trips to Malaysia or the Jungle or floating Village. The Empire is truly one of a kind.

We will be back for our next vacation.

Hotel is truly beautiful. Had such a lovely stay. Decor is beautiful, meals great and the location is top class. Staff were all nice and friendly and I felt like I was in a tropical island resort like Fiji.
Only issue we had was the rooms very very cold. Even when we turned it up to the max heat it didnt warm up. So if you want to spend time in your room you need to rug up. Also our encounter with the front of house staff wasnt that pleasant. They kept trying to charge us alot more then the room was advertised for. Over $100 more. We found the advertised rate online and only then when we showed them and proved they were overcharging did they change it.

Either way our stay was still amazing and I would love to go back again anyway.

The Empire is a resort hotel, on the coast, about a 15-minute drive from the airport (and probably about the same from the centre of the capital). It has extensive leisure facilities including a golf course, in an area sufficiently extensive for a free buggy service to be provided. I was there out of season, so some of the facilities were closed for maintenance and since I was there for business I confined myself to a stroll round the grounds.

Some rooms are in outlying buildings, but mine was in a wing of the main hotel. The hotel goes for a lot of marble and gilding, with deep red upholstery and dark wood and this style continues into the guest rooms. Mine was large, in good condition, with a very comfortable bed and a similarly large bathroom with separate shower and bath. A balcony looked over the ocean and a minibar offered free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.

The breakfast buffet is diverse, though not enormous, of high quality, and served in a room that is light and airy.

There is clearly a high staff to guest ratio and, as a result, service is both attentive and efficient.

For what I needed, the hotel was excellent. Clearly anyone else booking will need to think about location, season, and what facilities they will use, but it worked for me.

Stayed from 27th Dec for 8 days.
Fabulous hotel. Hospitality was excellent.
Staff were always helpful and friendly.
Management was great. Always had time to say hello.
Excellent room facilities. The shower was superb. Large spacious seaview room with large balcony. Room service and all the restaurants were great.
New Years meal at the Pantai restaurant was lovely. We enjoyed eating in the restaurants followed by having evening tea in the lounge (atrium) area every evening.
Afternoon tea was also lovely.
The angus burger at the country club and at the poolside was the best I have had on holiday abroad.
I had the most wonderful stay here and would one day like to return to Brunei and the empire resort.
This hotel experience, facilities and hospitality has far exceeded any other hotel I have stayed in, including the Grand Hyatt and the Shangri la.

It's been many years since I visited Brunei, And was there in Nov 2022. The empire hotel is well maintained, and the grounds are spacious. 3 different pool areas. reminds me of the large scale beach front hotels I stayed in Cancun, Mexico and in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The hotel sits on a large ground with a golf course ( i didnt play as I didnt bring my golf bag). And staff are all friendly. And they all speak very good English

Rooms are well appointed, clean, spacious. I like it because, in-room fridge drinks are all complimentary. This should be the way ! So that guests need not have to worry and pay for exorbitant mini-bar prices.

Bathroom is spacious. Love the hug bath tub, and the spacious standing shower as well.

People should note that rooms are located in seperate buildings away from Guest Registration. It's like you are living in a Condo complex.

This is suitable for family vacations with big extended families. The central pool is huge overlooking the sea.

Beach is not really for swimming, although that would have been a HUGE PLUS for me if the beach was cleaned up, and wioth groomed sand, as I like swimming on the beach vs chlorinated pool water.

Overall, a great hotel for my 3D2N stay in Brunei for work

The Empire is a massive and highly ornate hotel complex set in beautiful grounds. The room was large, well equipped and very clean although rather dark and a little old fashioned. During our visit, the hotel occupancy was extremely low and so the hotel lacked much atmosphere especially in the restaurants. The food was not hot whether in the buffet, room service and even the lobby lounge. Unfortunately, the hotel’s location means that the only non-hotel eating options need a hotel car which is costly. We interacted with the excellent concierge team both in advance and during our stay and Mahammad and Sorphi (spelling?) both offered great advice. We also visited the spa and were impressed by the spacious, comfortable surroundings and also the therapists, Debby and Nono.

Sorry I don't have that information. I am sure if you contact the Hotel the answer will quickly be provided. I am surprised that the cost is not included in their online or booking information.

Yes, this can be organised through the hotel but this is essentially a private car. There is no bus or other public transport to the hotel.
