I stayed at Rothman Manor with my friend as we were travelling around south africa in February......Amazing place, beautiful grounds with zebra and Kudo to sit and watch as well as a hot tub and a lovely relaxing pool area. We stayed in the loft apartment which was tastefully decorated, spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was gorgeous and the...

This residence used to belong to the Rothman family, one of the original settlers in this area, and is a South African heritage site. It has been beautifully and respectfully updated by its present owners, Andrea and Franceska. The bedrooms are extremely well appointed, think underfloor heating in the bathrooms, and beautifully presented. Some open onto the pool area, others...

One of the best hotels we ever experienced - the rooms are tasteful and comfortable, the breakfast is wonderful and the garden with pool, hot tub and zebras feels like being in paradise. The owners and their staff are simply lovely. Highly recommendable!

You could spend a day just wandering from one serene area to another...from the hot tub overlooking the zebras to the...

No matter what glowing reviews you may read about Rothman Manor, nothing can prepare you for the wonders of actually being a guest there. It's now firmly in my top five of favourite places to have stayed alongside the Four Seasons in Istanbul's Sultanhamed, Casa Cool Beans in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro, The Cipriani in Venice, and the Commune...

We spent two nights in Rothman Manor, having booked just as Stop-over on our trip from Franschoek to Plettenberg. Had we known just how wonderful this place was, we would have stayed at least four or five nights to enjoy the place. The setting and garden are superb, the Suites excellently fitted, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was a wonderful experience,...

We stayed in some beautiful places in South Africa but this place was outstanding. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds are amazing, especially the hot tub looking over the zebra and springbok. The whole place is friendly and stunning. Simply wonderful.
