This was our first trip to SA and Wow what an amazing place to start our journey. Our hosts Johan and Jo-Anne were extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The lovely suites were perfect in every way right down to the chocolate left by our bed each night. The garden setting is beautiful...

This was my first visit to South Africa and Johan and Jo-Anne made me very welcome. The suite was extremely comfortable (especially the extra large bed). The large breakfasts were superb and set me up nicely for days spent watching cricket at Newlands! The guest house is ideally located for wine-tasting in Stellenbosch and Johan and Jo-Anne were very helpful...

This was my first time in South Africa and at a Bed and Breakfast and I didn't know what to expect because I usually stay in hotels, but the hospitality was amazing. The rooms were very up to date and the whole vicinity was well kept. I came home every night to a ferrero rocher chocolate on the table side,...

Over the years we have stayed in castles and cabins, some memorable and some less so. But we now realize the intangible quality that contributes so much to the quality of a stay is not so much the size of the rooms or the thickness of the carpets, but the degree of gracious hospitality extended by one's hosts. Wholly apart...

On my way to Namaqualand’s spring flowers I made a two night stop at Blaauwheim. The last time I visited this lovely place in spring was in 2011. I had almost forgotten how stunning the garden is this time of year. The glorious clivias set the garden ablaze in oranges and yellows. Masses of white daisies enveloped the house. Beautiful....

I had a wonderful stay in a truly luxurious and familiar environment. The apartment is very spacious and there is no detail missing. Very quiet and peaceful environment, with a wonderful garden. But what I appreciated most was the familiar, welcoming and friendly host, it felt like staying at friends you know for a long time. Highly recommendable!

Annie, Annie, Annie! "Thanks for the good times" seems to be stuck in my mind when I recall your visit. It was memorable from the moment you arrived till you left. From being dropped off at the right number but wrong street to being able to laugh about it... You infused us with so much positive energy and to write...

From the moment of our arrival we were made to feel at home. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we were provided not only with a lovely spacious room and bathroom but also a private little patio to sit out in. We were also provided with maps of the area which were a great help and a booking...
