I am sitting on the stoep at home and am going to tell you about another stoep we had the pleasure of enjoying time on, last weekend in Robertson. That stoep was attached to Dam Cottage E on Good Hope Farm, 45 kms outside Robertson… It all started on Friday the 30th of September with the car full of people... More

After a long road trip our last stop before home was in Robertson at the Good Hope farm! What an amazing setting, with a majestic mountain back drop and acres of farmland we sat on our terrace enjoying the spectacle of little groups of piglets grazing and playing in front of us! What fun! Our little cottage Lavender cottage had... More

Love the owners Taryn & Tienie, Always helpful, willing and accommodating. The farm is a piece of heaven. The hiking dogs are awesome and always feel safe hiking alone with them. Love the pool, the views, the absolute peace and quiet. No cell phones, radio, tv, just the birds and the wind. A true respite from city life and my... More

Goodhope Farm is a great place for a week end break or even more days if you can spare it and all very worth it. We stayed at the Dam cottages and was really not expecting what we got, basic but nice accommodation overlooking the dam. We booked all 5 cottages as the family is massive so we had the... More

We stayed in the mountain cottage which was perfect as we were 3 adults & 1 child great double bed and twin beds. Then there is the communal space with a swimming pool, spend most of the weekend just relaxing by the pool area. My daughter enjoyed all the animals and the open space. Breakfast was brought to our cottage... More

We had a fantastic time at Good Hope Farm (booked 3 of the Dam cottages, early September). The kids (aged 3) had a great time feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, bottle feeding the lamb, joining us for a row on the dam and seeing all the visitors at the cottages. The 2 pot-belly pigs, Black Jack the dog and a... More

We stayed in the chalets above the dam which was perfect as we were five families and we each had our own chalet. Then there is the communal space between the first and second chalet were we spend most off the weekend. The kids enjoyed all the animals and the open space. This is definitely a hidden gem deep in... More

Remember the film "Babe"? I am sure it was filmed here... Stunning views looking down on the valley, over green fields, vineyards and olive groves. Pigs, goats, dogs and cats roam free, and are happy to make your acquaintance. For a couple, Lavender cottage was perfect, but we are keen to come back with a group of friends and book... More

Recommended by people from the Robertson Valley - we spent one night at The Good Hope Farm without much chance to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We stayed at the Dam Cottages as the Mountain Cottages were booked out (these seem very popular). Although rustic, lovely view over dam and if you took all four units, you would be... More

We visited Good Hope Farm for a weekend of 30th birthday celebrations for a friend. She booked some cottages and we had a rather large group. It was perfect for this kind of event as there was something for everyone and a good entertainment area. Being Valentine's weekend we booked a couples massage through the farm, which was really lovely.... More

“All accommodation is great. The dam cottages are lovely and great for those wanting to fish. Mountain chalets are perfect for dogs as they can run free without disturbing any of the farm animals and the wing on the main house has the most amazingly comfortable king size bed!”
