With 10 distinct rooms, a new restaurant and bar, two pool areas, a wellness room and ample gardens, the Robertson Small provides superlative service to our guests, maintaining the standards that make it Robertson’s only five-star hotel. The Small Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with all bookings by appointment. Guests at the hotel needn’t book for breakfast. Seating is both inside the Manor House and on the patio beside the hotel gardens. A classic menu with refined seasonal dishes elevates the best in local produce and is accompanied by choice wines from the valley. Built in 1909, the Manor House is now a National Monument. The three Manor House suites sport typically Victorian high, embossed ceilings and large windows onto the veranda. Collaborators include the likes of Studio Ashby, Alexis Barrell, Michael Chandler, The House of Gozdawa, Pichulik, and so much more. Every guest is gifted a bespoke guide of experiences in Robertson, called The Small Guide, it is an intimate and beautifully photographed exploration of the valley.

This was our second visit to the Small Hotel, and it won't be our last. It's a beautiful, restored Victorian house with carefully curated gardens. Service is highly attentive and professional, in all aspects. Our room (facing the pool) was well appointed and tasteful, with all the right touches. Dinner and lunch were both delicious, and the wine selection (from wines grown and produced in the Robertson and surrounding areas) varied and extensive. We'll be back as soon as we can!

The Robertson Small Hotel is a delightful, stylish and elegant place to stay for a night or even more (sadly we only stayed a night) in the Karoo. The rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated, the garden is beautiful manicured perfection. My daughter and I enjoyed dining outside in the lovely autumn weather. I recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.

The Robertson Small Hotel is a gem in the countryside. Delectable food, the best massages ever and service staff that are proactive, caring and friendly. The Small Restaurant under the tutelage of chef, Chris Erasmus, is one of the best in the country.

Our expectations have been exceeded!! The Small Hotel is so stunningly beautiful, luxurious & lovely. The staff is incredibly friendly and they make you feel at home. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they spoil you rotten. We are on our honeymoon and were welcomed with bubbly and champagne glasses - loved it! The hotel is this secret GEM situated in the heart of Robertson. The vibe is ultimately relaxing and tranquil. Can’t emphasise enough how wonderful our stay was...it is a MUST VISIT! Thank you!!!!
