The perfect destination in Franschhoek. Walking distance to everything. Tranquil. Heritage building beautifully restored. Helpful owners provided a late checkout and post-parking. Breakfast nearly perfect...freshly squeezed orange juice would have awarded 100%.

We loved our 2 night stay at the Ashbourne. It truly is a quaint boutique hotel in the heart of Franschhoek (short walk to Main Street with restaurants etc.). The room we had (7 - see photos) was spacious, quiet, and equipped with all of the proper amenities (except hair conditioner and bar soap, but there was shampoo, liquid soap...

Excellent location very welcoming with homemade lemoncello as our welcoming drink as well as a beautiful cake for our daughters birthday . Guest room was beautifully presented with delightful treats and fresh coffee and tea to welcome us. Breakfast was made to order in addition to the homemade muesli and continental breakfast to chose from... Would highly recommend this as...

An excellent guest house, clean, modern, spacious rooms, excellent service from Tim and his wife and staff. Really helpfull in booking restaurants, winetours. If possible go for a loft room, very light and bright and well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

This was a very comfortable place to find ourselves in Franshoek. The guest house is quite central. The proprietors are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was terrific particularly the shower. The breakfast had great options and was very fresh. We had a great and comfortable stay.

We spent 4 nights here in November and cannot recommend Ashbourne House more highly. Our room was a delight, lovely bathroom and toiletries, very comfy bed and a small private terrace overlooking the mountains and vineyards. Excellent breakfasts on the front terrace with freshly made bread, pastries and preserves. However, It was our hosts Tim and Nadine who made the...

We stayed in this wonderful guest house for 2 nights. It is situated in a quiet location about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Franschhoek. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Tim, who showed us around and advised us on places and vineyards to visit and where to eat. His advice was excellent and enabled us...

Good location within 5 to 10 minutes to the Main Road where the cafe's, restaurants and shops are. Our room with ensuite bathroom was spacious on ground level leading into courtyard where there is a small pool. Breakfast was served inside or outside and there was an adequate choice of hot and cold food. The hosts were friendly and helpful....
