Beautiful location and lovely cosy and characterful cottage. We found our cottage easily and with a little 'welcome' chalkboard in the window with my name on it and the keys in the door. It's nice to be able to just arrive and start settling in without having to meet and greet straight away. It was cold and wet the week-end we visited and the hosts had already turned on the heaters so when we arrived the cottage was already warm and cosy. That was a lovely surprise. The owner Sonja was warm and welcoming when she took a walk down to see us and for the rest of the week-end we interacted with the farm hand who was very engaging and friendly and helped with any need or question about the farm or cottage and also gave us a tour of the stables. Our toddler enjoyed feeding the horses, sitting on the tractor and generally running around the mud with his boots! The beds were warm and comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. …
We have visited Courchevel three times now and absolutely love it there. Our daughter is horse crazy and spent the afternoon in the stables experiencing preparation for a show the next day. We were made to feel very welcome. Coenie the farm manager was most welcoming and enjoyed having our kids around the entire afternoon in the stables. Beautiful farm, lovely accommodation, great morning walks and our dogs could join us too for the weekend.
It is not often you visit a property where you simply can't fault anything! Amazing experience. From the most friendly and helpful service, to a cozy, well equipped cottage. If this was all perfect, how do you describe the view and beautiful surroundings? It is simply breathtaking. And if you love horses, the pony camp my 9 year old daughter attended, was the cherry on the cake. Sonja, Graeme, Nicolene and Coenie have a passion and love for horses that is contagious. We will be back without a doubt.
We enjoyed very much our stay at Courcheval. Our cottage (Die Ou Stal) was very comfortable, well equipped and so beautiful decorated. We had a fantastic view everywhere we walked on the farm and the friendly company of the Great Danes - so hospitable. I'd definitely recomend this place.
We had a wonderful weekend with family celebrating a special occasion at Courchevel Cottages. We stayed in the different cottages and spent a wonderful time together in the most beautiful of settings. Everyone loved being able to take walks, pet and feed the horses, visit the zebras, ostriches, buck and other wild animals, have a sundowner watching the sun set over the majestic mountains and all this while in the heart of the most amazing winelands. Thanks to Sonja and the team for making us feel so welcome and special.
