The views are unreal, so beautiful, peaceful, and serene. It is such a beautiful place to have lunch, however the menu is limited with options, and the food is very average. It is a quite popular place though, so I am not sure if that is just the standard of the area.

We stayed with friends in March this year - for the 4th or 5th time since our honeymoon there 13 years ago - and yet again La Petite Ferme managed to tick all the boxes. We stayed in both the lakeside lodges and the vineyard suites and they both offer plenty of value for money. The suites have loads of...

We arrived late but was welcomed by the very friendly Randall who was sitting at the front desk! Quick check in and we drove to the lakeside cottage on the other side of the road. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! WE LOVED IT! The next morning, the view was even better. breakfast was yummy and excellent variety with cold and hot choices....

Having heard good things about this place, we decided to book a lunch and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and very good value (at least it was given we were converting the rand into sterling). Service was friendly and attentive, and the views were stunning - ask for a window seat.

My wife and I had the bridal suite for our anniversary weekend. We had decided to start the Saturday with the wine tour and tasting which was both informative and entertaining and had wine! The next bit is where the 5th star was lost. We had a lunch booking for 2pm and an hour and a half to kill. I...

During our tour of Franschhoek, we had the opportunity to visit and eat at this quaint restaurant. The grounds were lovely and the view of the snow capped mountains was just breath taking. Our meal was prepared beautifully and the service nice. We also did not have to wait long to get a table.

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel. We stayed in two different rooms. The bridal suite in the manor house which we wouldn't stay in again as there is not much privacy and no door to the bathroom which is not acceptable and we stayed in the Deluxe suite which was really nice and we would choose that same...

Stopped here for lunch between tastings. Beautiful views of the vineyard and lovely food. Lots of Indian influence in the cuisine, which I did not anticipate in the farm setting. Also very large portions!

The Franschhoek region shines with a visit to this vineyard. Smaller and more intimate than its neighbors, the quality of service, wine and food makes La Petite Ferme a hidden gem. Don't miss the tour of the winery as the founder'/owner, John, will probably be your guide. His passion and love for the 30 year old vineyard reflects the creative...
