Nice located not too luxurious cottages with braai outside. Last 150 meters dirt road. Nice the zebra, wildebeest and springbok in front of the houses. No contact with the owner. Clean and pleasant. Easy to find if you go right at the Huguenotes memorial and drive a few kilometers. Try to arrive with daylight, that will make it easier, there...

We spent four nights here. Had just a bit of trouble finding it so try to arrive before dark. Loved the zebras, wildebeest and springbok out back. There is a braai out back as well as a picnic table. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a bath tub and shower. We had plenty of hot water for both...

We arrived late after our shop at the local supermarket - very busy - We really enjoyed the break and we don't really have this type of accomadation on offer with this wonderful view of the animals at close range ... Will arrange for a weekend soon again 😀 Thanks Charles for this weekend

We stayed in two of the 4 small self-catering cottages (for 2-3 people each) on the edge of Franschoek. The setting is wonderful with mountains on one side and your own private nature reserve on the other. Wake up in the morning and eat your cornflakes on the patio, watching the zebras and wildebeest having their morning drink with the...

Good basic accommodation, everything you need in a self catering establishment. Was a clear night with great starry sky surrounded by beautiful mountains and lots of good wine. All family males having a BBQ after a day of wine tasting in the area. Had left overs for breakfast. Very good value for money.

What a lovely quaint little cottage in the foothills of the mountains! Gorgeous scenery, beautiful horses nearby and they have some game- zebra, wildebeest etc that you can watch from your back porch whilst enjoying the sounds of nature. Bed was very comfortable and it was just lovely all round. 10 minute drive from Town and very close to some...

What a fantastic experience....a gamefarm and tranquility at its best just a few km from the bustling city. A real breakaway, chilling on the stoep with various buck species within 50meters of where you are sitting. Well equiped cottages, well maintained and clean. Decor really fits the setting and perfect for the location. Interesting walks in the mountain and around...

Great ambiance, wonderful establishment, clean and safe. My wife and I had shared an amazing experience to celebrate our union as well as her birthday. Pleasure to see the game (Zebras, Gemsboks, GNU, other wild life animals) roaming freely....beautiful scenery.

Franschhoek Country Cottages are located a short drive outside of Franschhoek nestled within the mountains in a very quiet location. The small selection of game in the enclosure that the four cottages look over is a nice touch. Each cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a small oven and also a braai area on the patio. It was quite...

Our cottage was very comfortable and quiet with nice decor, lovely wood burning fireplace (with wood & matches) provided. The kitchen was kitted with pretty much everything you would need for self catering. The only negatives I have are the following - * There was no meet and greet * Very limited hot water * no newspaper or such to...
