We were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the owners (Clive and Jeanne Garlick, hence the name) regarding good quality amenities, bedding, towels, etc. We also enjoyed their dog, Zach. :-) The room is large and the breakfast quality and service (fresh baked croissants and apple turnovers) is great. The location is near the center of town, yet quiet and...

Beautiful and calm place with the amazing mountains in the background and a short walk away from the centre of the little village of Franschhoek. Nice room and great breakfast. Loved it! There is definitely a provençal feel to it.

Such a wonderful stay here and they couldn't do enough for us. They made sure we had transport sorted for us gave us all the directions we needed for our onward journey. The guest house itself is absolutely beautiful and the surroundings are stunning. Best hot breakfast of all the guesthouses we stayed in! Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay here, a well equipped room and stunning views of the mountains. It's in a very peaceful location too. The only reason I haven't marked this as excellent is because the breakfast didn't have a large amount of choice and anything ordered that's cooked comes covered in chopped parsley, even toast! Also the staff didn't have...

We stayed for a night at Maison d'ail and really enjoyed our stay. The room in incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean. And so is the rest of the house. The breakfast served by the pool was just perfect.

Conveniently situated just out of the center and in a quiet part of town, it offers excellent spacious modern accommodation with all the amenities you could ask for. An excellent breakfast is served on the veranda or in...

Thank you Clive and team, I booked this as a wedding gift for a honeymoon couple. The welcome was brilliant, the room was exquisite with windows on two sides, one overlooking the pool and a set of double doors leading to a balcony overlooking the wine lands and mountains beyond. Not on the main high street but on a road...

This guest house is about 10-15 minutes walk from Franschoek main street. It is down hill to the center and up hill back. The guest house has a very nice view over the area, and the rooms have a very high standard, as well as the breakfast. Very nice staff that take care of you, and you can park your...
