We came back to Elephant lodge because we had discovered it 5 years ago. That large and very comfortable house in the vineyards offers quieteness, and makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Cecilia is very helpful and all members of the team are equally kind. There is a honesty bar. You can take a bottle of...

This is a beautiful hotel on a hill overlooking Franschhoek and with wonderful views of the valley. The hotel has large rooms and is to a high standard. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty. I would give 5 stars, but I wasn't a fan of the Elephant Tusks in the main foyer. I don't even know if they were real to...

Fabulous view from the pool and breakfast terrace, totally relaxing and uncomplicated, very nice interior, high standard service and breakfast on all ten days of my holiday. The only disadvantage, but this can also be seen as an advantage, is the location just outside of walking distance to downtown Franschhoek.

can't beat this B&b B for the fabulous setting & incredible service from Cecilia and her team. What a wonderful welcome! The breakfast was huge and beautifully set out. We booked all 3 available B&B rooms for our party of 6 and it felt like we 'lived' at Elephant Lodge for the 3 days we were there. My daughter's wedding...

A little"Château" in the mountains , franschhoek- pass in the back. The rooms are large, wonderfully furnitured, floor heated - which we appreciated in colder days! Staff is descreet and friendly , but not arrogant at all! We loved the nice and warm chat for breakfast with Cecilia .

We found a gem ! Little has been said about this delightful friendly stay-over. We were given a lovely welcome by Cecelia and made to feel at home. The Lodge is great, the room we had was spacious and spotless. The Breakfast on the Patio was just great. Certainly gets our recommendation for a quiet getaway.

Stayed in April 2016 for a couple of nights. Cecilia and her team are the cherry that makes the cake perfect. Great hosts, fantastic service and a truly magnificent venue. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and just what one needs for a perfect getaway. Once seen, the view from the pool deck will never be forgotten. Breakfast on the...

Many thanks to Cecilia and the team for a fabulous stay, and delicious breakfasts. Our bedroom was huge with copious storage space and was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, but it was commanding views of Franschhoek and the surrounding valley that gave a unique feeling to the house. As other reviewers have stated you will need a car as the...

This is our second holiday at Elephant Lodge. Lovely views and location even if a little out of the centre. Spotlessly clean with excellent friendly service from Cecilia and her team. Nothing too much trouble and such advice about where to go etc. Franschhoek is an excellent centre for the wine district and so much to do.
