Stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding nearby. We could not have chosen a more idyllic place. Barry and Annette are not only special people but with both their attention to detail and desire to exceed their guests expectations made this an enjoyable and unforgettable stay. Thank you so much both of you, you deserve being Number 1...

We spent 3 nights at the Garden House in early February. The Garden House is the most beautiful Victorian style house set in at very lovely garden with views of the Franschoek wine slopes and surrounding mountain. We stayed two nights in the guest room in the main building and one night in the cottage. Both are beautifully decorated with...

.To say this was a home from home would not be a fair description because there is no way I could have decorated my home with such flair and taste as that of Barry and Annette. Nor could I have designed such a delightful country garden yet maintened it in such a pristine manner. Set against a backdrop of vine...

We stayed here at the end of January and really felt that the Garden House lived up to all the rave reviews. Special mention must go to Annette's superb breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the pretty garden with the distant hills in the background. A glorious view and wonderful way to start the day.The bungalow was prettily furnished and spotless....

Our stay at the Garden House was the perfect end to a wonderful holiday. Annette & Barry are fabulous hosts - nothing was too much trouble & their restaurant recommendations were spot on. The 'sundowners' on the terrace were a nice touch & Barry's gin & tonics were perfection - matched by the view. The cottage is very spacious &...

As everyone(!) here has said, The Garden House is a great place to stay in Franschhoek. The other reviews here cover all the detail & everything you need to know. Annette will have no trouble retaining her number one status in Franschhoek, the level and quality of service is fantastic. My only concern is that when I try to return...

Annette is a great character ably supported by Barry. Great sundowners on the house! What more could you want? We would go back like a...

We arrived as part of our honey moon trip earlier this month January and franschoek and the garden house were certainly a highlight. Annette and Barry and their son who was there at the time were very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. Their tips, advice and route planning around the area was fantastic and we enjoyed...

We stayed at the Garden House for two wonderful nights in November. I had high expectations before our arrival from the already glowing reviews on Tripadvisor however nothing had quite prepared me for this place. We were given a warm welcome by Annette and Barry and shown to the garden house - super spacious, comortable with a massive bathroom and...
