Everything about our two night stay at the Garden House was perfect. Annette and Barry were wonderful, thoughtful hosts and their old colonial style property just a short walk from the centre of town is beautiful, with a glorious English country style garden and fantastic views. There's also a proper good sized pool in the corner of the garden for... More

Annette and Barry welcomed us into their home as if we were family and we felt as if we were right from the start of our visit. It's a beautiful house in a charming village and Annette provides the most wonderful breakfast on a delightful terrace with breathtaking views. Great scenery and wonderful restaurants, with the added bonus of cats... More

The host were very warm and welcoming. There are beautiful funny cats and dogs, we loved to stay there, having some chat with Annett and Barry whilst having a sundowner. Breakfast was perfect and delicious. The Garden House is only minutes away from the beautiful centre. We can fully recommend the garden house. Thank you Annett and Barry! Hope to... More

Annette and Barry could not have been more welcoming hosts, they looked after us very well and advised well on all there is to do in the area. The Garden House is very pretty as well as being a very situated bed and breakfast, walking distance from the village with stunning mountain views. The house is lovely, very comfortable and... More

Love, love, love The Garden House. It is the one place in the world to which we always return when we are in dire need of R&R. The stress falls away as soon as you enter the beautiful garden to be greeted by Annette and/or one of the resident cats/dogs - all equally welcoming and friendly. The biggest decision you... More

We visit the Garden House annually or more often. This is the umpteenth time we have stayed there and it excels every time with its comfort and hospitality. The proof of how excellent it is is the sheer amount of repeat clients Annette and Barry achieve. Returning year on year by so many clients is the most accurate and flattering... More

This has to have been the friendliest place we have stayed at during our six week holiday. Annette and Barry are wonderful hosts, and nothing is too much bother for them. The house is set in beautiful gardens, with spectacular mountain views, completed with adorable cats and dogs. It's within easy walking distance of the charming village centre of Franschhoek,... We stayed at the Garden House for our honeymoon in September 2016. Annette and Barry were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome from the outset. They gave us good recommendations on local restaurants and activities. The house itself is the particular highlight. It is decorated in a homely manner, that is sure to make you feel comfortable. The... More

The accomodation is in a seperate cottage next to the main house. There is a large bedroom, with a very comfortable sitting area and a gorgeous bathroom, with underfloor heating. The gardens are lovely and we enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard, drinks on the veranda and lazed by the pool. The breakfast was lovely fresh juice and beautiful berries, croissants... More

We stayed here during the Bastille Festival and it suited our needs perfectly. It is a short walk to the Wine tent. The full breakfast was nice and convenient. The rooms were not anything extravagant but were sweet and comfortable.
