Really amazing setting, plenty of hiking option. The camp is well run, with the accomodation a better standard than I was expecting, big clean huts that even had TVs with loads of digital stations. Overall excellent, very happy!

Lots of reviews say the upper camp is better. I disagree. Sure, the rooms look more modern, but people walk right past your window on the trails, so there isn't much privacy We were in lower camp, hut 2. Amphitheatre view from my bed!!. Fridge...More

Hi Brian, you will definitely need a car. it is miles away from any public transport. Well worth it though

The main shop is near the entrance to the park about 5km from Thendele. It stocks most consumables; meat, bread, milk, firewood etc. also a reasonable selection of 'clothing' and tourist memorabilia. Thendele shop is smaller... More
