Book the upper camp. Our hut had views across to the Amphitheatre and proved a magnet for birdlife. One rainy afternoon we had visits from bushbuck and yellow mongoose. The chalet is well equipped with fridge, microwave, 2 ring cooker etc. Bath and shower and...More
My 4th time at Thendele & my wife's second, and her introduction to the Upper Camp. As always, the experience was excellent: assigning me my favourite unit (17) at request, awesome trout for sale at the visitor centre, super friendly staff, beautiful views and a...More

The main shop is near the entrance to the park about 5km from Thendele. It stocks most consumables; meat, bread, milk, firewood etc. also a reasonable selection of 'clothing' and tourist memorabilia. Thendele shop is smaller and stocks essential items but not perishable foods. Bring your major meat items with you and store in your refrigerator.
