It is a very basic but clean Hotel. The people are very friendly and helpful. They even let my family organise breakfast in bed for me the morning of my birthday. That in my book is pretty awesome. The Hotel does not offer Dstv and the Wifi is not working properly in die bedrooms.

The hotel has had a bit of a facelift since my last stay, with the resulting increase in price. It still represents value for money though. The hotel has a lively bar and the bar food is good. For sure I would use it again. If you are seeking a quiet hotel, then this is not the one for you.

These hotel rooms are the absolute bare minimum in accommodation ! They barely fit a double bed. There is a bedroom and bathroom, with a small TV that has very limited channels. It is clean - but this is a budget hotel through and through. The only good thing is it is situated in the centre of town, near the... More

This is the most terrible hotel I have ever stayed in. They did not clean our room, and when we confronted them about it they made me feel that it was our fault because we needed to tell them to clean the room at reception! Their receptionist had a pool party at 15:00 in the morning and was drunk and exestermely... More

The hotel accommodation was really second rate. There was no hot water in the shower, water trickled out. The noise from the bar in the hotel was horrendous. The staff were surly and unhelpful. Would not recommend this for a family holiday.

The Savoy is a budget hotel. Rooms are reasonable, bar is good but noisy on the weekend, so if you are a light sleeper, best not to get a room above the bar. Friday and Saturday are Karaoke Nights which are fun, so best not to sleep but to join in. Drinks are reasonably priced and bar staff were friendly.... More

Ok..its reasonably cheap & central & as all we wanted was a stop off en-route to addo this (seemed) to fit the bill. BUT you get what you pay for..which is not very much..in fact less than that! Firstly they charged us extra for the commission that THEY had paid to "rooms for africa"..cheeky buggars!!! Now i wouldnt have minded... More

First off no Aircon and in summer the room reaches 30degrees. Secondly we were above the bar and directly on the street - the hotel bar was blasting gangnumstyle and open until 4:30am (legal opening time being till 2am) and then there were drunk idiots shouting and swearing at each other till 5:30am outside our room. We then politely asked... More

Great little hotel in one of the most amazing places on earth! One block from the beach, hotel rooms are clean with patios that opens onto the pool. The staff is absolutely phenomenal! I left my iPhone behind after my stay; when I realized & called to see if they found it discovered they'd been 'looking all over the country... More
