The lodge is at least 90 minutes drive on 35km of gravel road away from the National Park. The only elephants you will see here are three rescue elephants which you can ride. We left after one night after we realised our travel agent had let us down.

Hi there, We are sorry to hear your stay with us was not what was expected. We are a private reserve adjoining the Addo National Park. We do offer day trips into the National Park on request. Addo is a town in Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Addo National Park as well as...

We had a decent stay at this lodge but it was absolutely not a four star hotel as claimed. Had we paid half the price I might have been more satisfied. The staff was friendly, though Charmaine needed two of herself to hold down the front of the house successfully. The space clean, though you can see it's becoming a...

Morning Kristin, Thank you for taking the time to review us, we appreciate all feedback given and will take your comments into consideration going forward. The lodge is under going a revamp as we speak. As one knows living in South Africa with the harsh sun it would play a part in sun damage to outdoors 'structures'. We always ensure...

We very disappointed about the service in general. We didn't get any information when we got checked-in. So we had to ask through for everything and got different informations about the same question. The meals were mediocre; the service plain bad, e.g. the beverage & wine menu was presented when we were served dessert! The elephant ride in the morning...

My sister was visiting from Australia and we did the day trip elephant experience. It was breathtaking to see those big grey animals quietly round the bend with their handlers on their backs. To be so close to an African elephant, get to feed them and walk with them was the most amazing experience. The staff were great and extremely...

We stayed as a couple for our Anniversary at this wonderful lodge. It was a long drive from Durban but well worth it. We were welcomed with a smile, loved our chalet/tent although the fist night was too windy and it felt like it was going to blow away. We arrived after 5pm and we had a shower and went...

Our anniversary weekend was only meant to be a relaxed 2 night stay in a remote lodge. We ended up making new friends and riding elephants. Thanks to Harry for your excellent hospitality and to Agnus for the great service. We will definitely recommend AEBS to our friends

We booked at Addo Elephant Back Safari for our two year anniversary. From the moment we arrived Harry and all the staff at AEBS made us feel very welcome. We were amazed by the beautiful rooms and the effort they made to keep all the guests warm and cosy during the cold weekend. The interaction we had with the elephants...

We did not stay overnight, but did the elephant back ride. Absolutely amazing experience!! What we like too is that the elephants are treated very humanely. They do a max of 3 rides a day so the elephants don't become irritable. The rest of the time they roam free on the resort. All the guides have more than a decade...

We booked at Addo Elephant Back Safaris through Groupon. For the discounted price, it was good value for money. I'm not sure I would pay the full price, but we really enjoyed our weekend there. It's a beautiful location in the Zuurberg mountains, about 45min drive from the Addo Park. The facilities in the luxury tents are excellent, from electric...

Canvas/log cabin situated 60 min from the Addo in the Zuurberg mountains. Rough road through the pass not ideal for daily drives to the Addo but perfect if you want peace and tranquility.
