Really a superior lodge! it is located in a private concession near to the public area of the Addo Elephant National Park. The stay in the lodge included meals and two game drives per day, one of them in the own concession (evening) and one in the public park. Food was excellent and service was great!

Anna and Francesco from Italy My husband and I stayed at Nguni River lodge in the private concession of Nyati last 13th July for 3 nights. Despite the very cold weather our experience was amazing. The lodge was fantastic: its position overlooking a small valley , its very beautiful suites, a round bathtub from where we enjoyed a wonderful view...

Within half an hour of being shown into our wonderful room, my wife and I changed our plans and extended our stay in Nguni. This was the perfect place for us. Set in a beautiful valley immediately adjacent to the Addo elephant park, it is miles away from television and mobile phone signals. Complete darkness at night opens up the...

We had a superb time. The setting was stunning, the rooms were fantastic, the best we've ever stayed in (an we've stayed in some incredible places). The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food wasn't suite fine dining, but was very good. From our room whilst relaxing on the deck, taking a bath, showering or in bed we...

The Nguni is truly an amazing place, luxurious, relaxing with excellent food and friendly staff. However, we were mislead. We understood when booking that they had the big five, when they actually don't. We were taken to the Addo Park for two out of our four game drives for which we were charged extra. They have so much to offer...

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of a week travelling down the garden route. We stayed in some absolutely fantastic places along the way and we were a little worried that maybe what was supposed to be the highlight of the trip might not live up to expectations. We needn't have worried; Nguni River lodge is incredible....

My wife & myself spent 3 nights at this lodge. Previously we had stayed at 6 other properties along the garden route - this was by far the most outstanding. All the staff introduced themselves to us, nothing was too much for them. Should you want peace & tranquility then look no further this is the place for you. The...

We spend 2 nights at this Lodge situated in the Addo National Park in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The park has the added attraction of being malaria free and having the big 5. The park used to be an elephant park but has grown through the years, allthough elephants are a big drawcard still. The Lodge does 2 gamedrives...

Had a fantastice weekend here in late February. The location is spectacular (view of Zebras from your bedroom!) and the game drives are excellent - get Lukas as a driver if possible as he has huge knowledge and a real passion for his work. The staff are very thoughful and even took the trouble to inform me of rugby results...

I wish I could agree with the other reviewer. I really wanted to love this place. It was incredibly stunning to look at, but in my opinion a bit hollow when it came to service and the overall experience. The good: - As I said, incredibly stunning to look at. When we were shown to our room it took our...
