We stayed 4nts for a 60th birthday celebration hiring all 4 units - Holt Barn, Holt Wain, Holt Stable & Holt Cottage - for friends & family. We were a party of 11-23 (some just stayed one night) with an age range of 10-86yrs. This was the perfect venue for a family celebration - a real find. There was space...

We must have picked the most windy of weekends to meet up with friends of long standing from New Zealand. But the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and we were warm and snug inside with the underfloor heating and wood burners. It is set in the most beautiful of locations with great views. We did manage...

We stayed here for an 80th birthday family weekend celebration 7th - 9th November. Gordon, who owns the barn and cottages with his wife Ruth, was there on Friday evening to meet us and show us the accomodation which was great as we arrived in the dark. Ruth and Gordon had sent us really good instructions on how to find...

We stayed here from the 27th September for a week. First the weather couldn't have been any better the sun came out every day which enabled us to make full use of the patio for breakfast and a pre dinner cider or two. The cottage itself is excellent with a well equipped kitchen, large lounge with two sofas dinning table...

I stayed here with a group of friends for a stag party weekend. The barn and cottages are delightful - in particular the main barn has been extremely well converted and has a large hall space for an evening party. Holt Farm is also very nicely situated on the edge of the Black Mountains with a large number of walks...

We stayed at Holt Farm during this year's Hay Festival with a party of four adults and three children. The Barn is beautiful - very well equipped and Ruth was very helpful throughout our stay - although we found her partner to be brusque at best. However, for most of the stay we were left without clean water - there...

Very high standard of accommodation and everything has been thought of and is generously supplied. A lovely place to stay and base from which to explore the spectacular surrounding area. We were a party of 15 family with 2 small children who enjoyed playing in the safe gardens.

We were a party of 13, which included two under 5s and a disabled person. We were housed between the Barn, the Stable and the Wain House and all accommodated us perfectly. It was a fabulous weekend, despite the best efforts of the great British weather. The wood burner in the Barn kept those of us staying in it, toasty...

We stayed at the Barn and Farm House for a hen weekend, both of which were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and tidy and also very well stocked with all the crockery etc. we needed to make dinner etc. for 16 people! The owners were lovely and accommodating - and had even left cake out as a nice welcome for us!...

My friends and I spent a weekend at holt farm cottages. We stayed in Holt Farm House. The cottage itself was beautiful, very tastefully furnished, cosy and overall a fantastic place to stay. The cottage was ideal for us as it was in very peaceful surroundings and a relatively short drive from Bristol. I would definitely recommend Holt farm to...
