My boyfriend and I stayed here one night for a short weekend getaway in the first week of June 2016. It was LBI's Hop Sauce weekend. We arrived about 3 hours early before check-in. We caught breakfast nearby. Afterwards, still very early for check in, we decided to just go to the hotel and see if the room was available....

We were on the island for a surprise birthday party. My family booked about 10 rooms in total. Everyone who stayed about this hotel raved about it. The price was great, $99 for a ocean view room. The rooms were very clean, The complex was well maintained. The location can't be beat. You are right at the eastern end of 72....

My wife and I spent a fantastic week at drifting Sands Oceanfront Motel in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. We rented suite #327 which had a great view from the balcony and was quiet except for the sounds of the ocean. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a couple's vacation or a family vacation. This past week...

This place is nasty. Unfortunately there are no other motels in the area. Very dirty. Shower didn't drain. I don't recommend staying here. Stains on bedding. It needs to be remodeled. Other than being in a great location this place is a dumpster.

If you are looking for luxury, I am not sure where you will find it in this beach-side community, but the view is nice. The room is equipped with a window AC unit and floorboard heaters. The bathrooms are tiny. The decor is simple. We were in town for wedding and decided to stay in a room with a view.

Had an amazing few days at the Drifting Sands in LBI! If you are looking for a great get away, this is the place to be ! Nice clean rooms and friendly staff! The staff went above and beyond. Right on the ocean and close to everything. A must see! Will definitely be returning.

Hotel is very good but no frills here. If you love the beach then this hotel is a perfect location. Rooms are basic and clean. Refrigerator in room, the AC is very noisy. The room I had was at the back of the hotel but they do have upper floor rooms with ocean view.

Being located right by the ocean is probably the best part of the motel. The view and convenient access to the beach are absolutely fantastic. The room is not modernly updated but it is well-maintained. The staff is friendly. I had a great two night weekend here.

Love the ocean front view. Don't know of another hotel on LBI that offers that. You only get it from the 2/3 floors of the oceanfront building so don't get the first floor there. You will just dunes. Steps from the beach. Convenient assigned parking. Ice available. Only negative is they say not to use it for your cooler. Really???...
