First off I should tell you that I love historic hotels and this old gal is a wonderful spot even in the winter. This old hotel has it all, history, the beach, fabulous food and a wonderful lounge ! The beds are comfy the shower is hot and the staff is super!. A bit on the pricy side especially in...

I was there for a wedding. Their ceremony room lacked the sophistication I was expecting but the bar downstairs for the cocktail hour was spectacular! The food was ok. my husband and I ordered steak cooked the same way and they were cooked a very differently which is frustrating because my steak was chewy and overcooked. The carrot cake was...

My Wife and I recently spent a overnight at Congress Hall in Cape May. We were excited to stay their as we have visited many times during day trips but never stayed overnight. Upon arrival we were treated well and enjoyed the ambiance of the lobby and bar area. However, from their it went down hill. Our room was large...

This is a hotel for those who love the charms of an old historic hotel. There may not be an even floor in the whole place. Although updated, there is a lack of attention to detail- things like cracked and dirty caulk around toilet, and rusted faucets. Furniture was a bit shabby, walls were dinged/marked, and there were black marks...

My wife and I enjoyed an overnight wintry snow storm here and it could not have been a more enjoyable getaway. The ocean view room was beautiful and comfortable. Service terrific. Drinks in the lobby in front of fireplace - nice! Definitely a place we will return to - maybe in warmer weather to enjoy the Oceanside balconies and outside...

Hotel was ok but very expensive for February at the Jersey shore. Everything is on a tilt - like the hotel settled and shifted several feet. Nothing is level. Nowhere to eat within a few miles and breakfast for 2 was $40. Decor is dated and the place needs a facelift. Not a big fan.

Our trip was cut short by the impending "epic storm" that didn't quite materialize. We stayed one night and had to head home, but we will be going back at the end of February. Our room was beautiful, the view of the ocean fantastic and everything we needed being under one roof was a plus. From the Blue Pig Tavern...

I have been to Cape May numerous times but have never actually stayed in Cape May because of the very pricey rooms. However, I came here for a retreat and had a great deal, deals here are easy to come by off season. The hotel is stately and grande, even regal. Very Victorian, I was comfortable the entire stay. I...

Stayed at hotel for weekend wedding. Loved the room. King end room facing town. It was a very nice pleasant room. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom lots of towels. Only problem with entire hotel is the heat. Every room was hot. A lot of history in this place. Had drinks in Brown room and ate meals in The Blue Pig that...

Congress Hall Hotel is rightly proud of its long and distinguished history, and it's fun to take a tour of the building and grounds with a young woman who "plays" one of the hotel's historic personages. That said, a renovation about 10 years ago has brought the hotel up to date, and makes it a comfortable place to stay that...
