I love historical buildings and this is one. The original building burned down in the late 1800's and it was then rebuilt. For awhile it was run by a religious sect before opening as a hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean but if you are looking for the Hilton, you will be disappointed. It has the old thick window...

We only stayed here for a weekend but I wish it had been longer. From the front desk to the bartender, all were fabulous. When they refurbished the hotel they kept the old 1800s charm. It is a perfect place for just a weekend or an entire week.

I have always wanted to stay at the beautiful Congress Hall. After many visits to it's shops, grounds, and the lounge I finally booked a one-night stay off-season for my boyfriend and I. It's a charming, old-fashioned, but classy Seashore hotel. Everything you would imagine, however it is definitely noisy. The hotel does warn you of this and they even...

We Loved our stay at Congress Hall the last weekend in February! The rooms were very neat and clean and the staff was quite pleasant and helpful! Parking was easy even with the snow and Ice around on the ground! My only criticism about my room was the smell of the fireplace right below us. Not going to be a...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in the presidential suite, and had the unfortunate experience of staying here when they were hosting a wedding reception. It was unfortunate because the suite is directly above the reception hall. Our room vibrated until around 10:00 pm... not something I would expect for a room I was paying close to...

Dear Brian H, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am sorry you were disturbed by the wedding we hosted Saturday night. All hosted events do end at 10pm, and due to the 200 year old building, providing a sufficient sound barrier does become difficult. We appreciate your feedback regarding the condition of the room, we hold ourselves...

Every time we stay at Congress Hall - during the summer or off-season - has been fabulous. The combination beach-vibe, and elegance in this historical hotel is magical. The Brown Room lounge offers a fireplace in winter, afternoon and evening entertainment, and great cocktails in a fun and romantic setting. The management regularly adds a variety of interesting events for...

We have visited Congress Hall many times when we stay in Cape May. It has always been a wonderful experience. The renovations of this very old and storied hotel are in keeping with the architecture yet the bathrooms are modern, wifi works perfectly and is free and bottled water is provided. If you are planning a trip to Cape May...

Just stayed 2 nights at Congress Hall in Cape May this past weekend. It is off season but you would never know it. The staff was wonderful, it has a great lounge with live music, a Dj at night, and the blue pig was great. It was just a class act in every way. The room was nice and the...

When I initially arrived, I was not happy or impressed. I know the place is old but I did not think it was "grand" as I had expected. It was certainly different than any place I had stayed before. I initially compared this place to my experiences. However, the place grew on me. I have to say that I probably...

I can't say enough good things about Congress Hall! We had to stay for my father's funeral and I had asked about the off season bar hours and they were nice enough to bring a bartender in early so I could have people come by after the service. It worked out perfectly. The beds were really comfortable and the food...
