My husband and I just stopped by the Gingerbread House for one night. We were on our way back from North Carolina and chose to spend a night in Cape May to break up the drive. We had never been and were not really sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The Gingerbread House is a beautiful Victorian house....

This was a spur of the moment trip to the shore of Cape May, and we were lucky to come across the Gingerbread House when looking for B&B's online. The reviews of this place were great and we agree. Pulling up to the street I was in awe of the beautiful, painted lady style Victorian homes on this block. You...

We came and stayed for our 25th anniversary. The Gingerbread House is beautiful and Joan and Fred are gracious and welcoming hosts! They helped us plan a romantic dinner at the nearby Washington Inn and were happy to answer any questions that we had. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Our time was so enjoyable that we are...

It turned out to be the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The location is in the charming (& quiet) old part of town, yet it's within a block of the beach and other attractions. Joan is a great host who'll send you on your way each morning with a scrumptious, plentiful breakfast. (We had to skip lunch as a...

There is only one place we stay in Cape May. From the very first time we stayed here years ago we felt relaxed and comfortable. This is due to Fred and Joan (the owners) warm and friendly personalities. They go above and beyond to make a person feel welcome at all times. The Gingerbread House is immaculate and they both...

My husband and I consider ourselves very fortunate to stay at the Gingerbread House. The owners, Joan and Fred, were wonderful and ver helpful. Joan's breakfasts were great as were our late afternoon conversations on the porch. The house is cheery, bright, and immaculate. Our room had a TV, air conditioner and private bath. The towels were terrific! We appreciated...

This year my boyfriend agreed to a weekend in Cape May. Having never stayed in a B & B before he was a little reluctant to do so. However, I insisted that in Cape May B & B's are the way to go. We found the Gingerbread House to be close to the beach and within easy walking diatance of...

A little bit of heaven. That is how I think of the Gingerbread House. My husband ,son and I , looked online 10 years ago for bed and breakfasts that would allow children. Our son was then 5. Since then, we have returned every year. Fred and Joan have become like our favorite aunt and uncle. They work tirelessly to...

Great B&B. Impeccably kept, beautiful house, friendly owners, good food and great service. The place is only a block from the beach. The furniture and decor is lovely. They obviously put a lot of love into this house. And Fred and Joan are two of the sweetest people you'll meet. Joan even helped us take our luggage in from the...

Fred and Joan are great hosts in their warm and inviting home. Fred's exceptional woodworking skills are evident throughout the home and Joan's gardening and decorating style added to our delightful stay in Cape May. A bonus is the great location of this bed and breakfast; half a block from the beach, a few blocks from a great outdoor mall...
