The Prince Edward Inn is located on historic Jackson Street in Cape May. We are 50 feet from the historic walking mall with its shops and restaurant and 500 feet from the beach. We offer one (1) and two (2) bedroom suites with living room, kitchenette and private bathroom. All suites have their own climate control systems for the hot summer and cool shoulder seasons. We are one of the only inns on Jackson Street to offer free parking on site. Most people park for the week, and never move their car based on our central location. We look forward to seeing you.

We recently stayed in the Jackson Suite for an extended weekend with another couple. Renee was very friendly and showed us to our rooms when we arrived late on the Friday night. The Jackson is up a long flight of outside stairs in the back of the house. The suite has two bedrooms, a kitchenette, living room and bathroom. There is a tv in the living room and the kitchen is well stocked. We had to bring our own towels and shampoo, but there were sheets on the beds. One bedroom has a queen and the other has a full and twin. There is ac and ceiling fans. The suite is clean, but there is a slight musty smell that comes from old houses and antique furniture. There's parking in the driveway, although it's a tight squeeze backing out past large suvs. The reason we chose the Prince Edward was the location. It's steps from the Washington Mall and down the block from the beach. It did get noisy when people left the bar on the corner in the wee hours. And we were there for Octoberfest, so the street was blocked off for the vendors and set up began at 6 am. But, it was a fun weekend and we'd stay here again.

We spent a week here this past summer. The owner, Renee, was very friendly and accommodating. There is parking on site so you can park your car and you never really have to move it. The beach is a half block in one direction and the Washington Street Mall with shops, restaurants and cafes is a block and a half in the other direction. You can also catch a horse and carriage ride there as well. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was the long walk up the stairs since we had the 3rd floor apartment. It was tiring to take all our luggage and groceries up all the stairs but once that was done, it was great. There is also an outside shower so you can wash off all the sand before you head into your apartment. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for choosing to spend your vacation with us at the Prince Edward Inn. We are delighted that you enjoyed the accomodations and proximinty to all Cape May has to offer. Unfortunately, these big houses have a few steps but we do offer a suite at ground level for those who have trouble with stairs and we also have two suites on the second floor. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope to see you again!

My boyfriend and I planned a long weekend in Cape May at the end of August. After looking and reviewing several B&Bs, we can across Prince Edward Inn. We were so happy with our decision to stay there! It was truly part of the reason why our vacation was so great. First, Renee, the owner of the Prince Edward Inn, was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Upon our arrival, she greeted us and showed us our suite. She was very happy to help us and wanted to ensure our stay was pleasurable and comfortable. It was like we’ve known her for years, that’s how she made us feel! Prince Edward Inn is a beautiful Victorian home! It has been well maintained and very taken care of by the owner(s). In the suite we stayed in, the décor was beautiful and added to the elegance of the home. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. It featured a new kitchen with a stove, microwave, coffee maker, and pots/pans! It was truly ‘home away from home.’ Everything we needed was at our fingertips. As you can imagine, down at the shore at the end of August was hot! But, our suite was nice and cool due to the new ductless A/C unit! Worked like a charm. Prince Edward Inn offers parking as well (huge plus especially as many places did not offer onsite parking!!) My favorite part of the Prince Edward Inn was the wraparound porch. Sitting on the rocking chairs at night looking at the stars or people watching was so relaxing and enjoyable. It is also in a great location; it is a quick walk to the beach and right off the Washington Street mall, which is a great place for restaurants and shopping. I would recommend Prince Edward Inn to my family and friends and to anyone looking for ‘home away from home.’ We enjoyed our stay so much that we already inquired about coming back again next summer!

Thank you and we are glad you enjoyed your stay! While the Inn is 120 years old, we strive to keep it well maintained as well as providing updated amenities such as Free Wifi, Central A/C, and modern LED Televisions. Yes, sometimes you can occasionally hear noise from adjoining suites and typically its not a problem. Thanks again for staying! Hope to see you again in the future.
