Chris and Roger were incredibly accommodating and sweet, their hospitality and attention to detail was amazing. The house was marvelous, full of interesting antique details and history; the room was large and very comfortable, and we had everything we needed or wanted. Breakfast was delicious and accommodated all of my dietary needs. Chris thought of everything and always communicated well!...

From the most delicious breakfast to the extremely clean rooms/bathrooms, this B and B sitting in charming neighborhood 3 minutes from down town Asheville was truly great! My hubby and I will definitely come back. The King size bed was so comfy and the home made cookies 24/7 along with fire pit really made this special.

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights with Chris and Roger and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Staying farther north in New Hampshire provided a base to enjoy Mt. Washington and other sites not far from Whitefield. We stayed in the Egyptian room and enjoyed its amenities. Chris provided a description of the following morning's breakfast menu each night...

Three senior women stayed here for 3 nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our third floor suite. We were intrigued with the antiques and décor of this Victorian B&B. The owners, Lisa and Madelyn, were gracious hosts and prepared fantastic breakfasts, served in the dining room with the other lodgers....which allowed for interesting, informative conversations. However, I left my luggage on...

Gorgeous Victorian building with themed rooms and a quirkiness that only adds to the appeal. No hosts could be more warm, welcoming or helpful. Beautifully done. A delicious hearty breakfast and many more unexpected treats. Don't expect too much from Whitefield and expect to drive to dinner. A few reasonable options but not many. However this has such a personality...

We really enjoyed our two night stay at this B&B. The owners, Chris and Roger, have created a very warm and welcoming establishment, which is really reflective of their personalities. The Lion and the Rose B&B is in a beautifully renovated Victorian house conveniently located in Whitefield, NH. It's easy to get to, and close to the Cog Railway at...

We had a very relaxing mini vacation while staying here. Chris and Roger were great hosts! Breakfast was fantastic! They were very accommodating and were able to send us in the right direction when we were looking for homemade jams and relishes. We will certainly return and try a different room next time!

Very friendly hosts. And they were very accommodating for last minute reservations. Clean. Comfortable bed. Historical. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful location (but very small town) not far from Littleton or the Whitefield Mountain View Grand Hotel. (Drive up there and walk around their gorgeous, historical property and inside the hotel and go back in time) Would definitely visit The Lion and...

This is such a charming old Victorian home, beautifully updated and maintained. Chris and Roger are wonderful hosts and breakfast is so good and filling you won't be hungry for hours! We stayed in the Egyptian room, which is large and very comfy with a balcony and mountain view.
