We recently stayed at Mountainview Grand (which we typically visit 2-3 times per year) and thought it was time to pay it forward with a nice review. We love the look and feel of this place that harks back to the old days where guests relax in the lobby while the piano plays or partake in parlor games (literally!) We...

My husband and I just came back from a weekend at Mountain View and had an amazing time. We decided to go away for my birthday weekend/babymoon (I'm 7 months pregnant) and were not disappointed. The resort is beautiful and the view is breath taking. This resort offers many activities so you never really have to leave if you choose...

I went in late summer with my husband and three kids. The view is wonderful and the staff seemed friendly; however they had a real fly issue in the restaurant, one that I've never seen even before. Also, for a family with a baby stroller, the hotel is not very accessible. The rating is based on the price - too...

From your first step into the hotel, you can tell this is not going to be a "typical" hotel stay. The craftsmanship, size, age, and character of the hotel make the structure itself unique. The scheduled activities and spaces to play a board game or just relax are refreshing. My 11 and 8yos had fun in the pool, parlor, game...

We attended a wedding on property the weekend of 3/10-3/12 2017. The accommodations that were provided were of epitome service. Check in was stress free and our room was simple but spacious. While we were there we utilized the Tower Spa (located on property too) and had a couple massage and I had my hair done for the wedding. The...

It was my first visit to Mountain View to attend a conference. The staff was amazingly responsive and friendly at every opportunity. It was that good old fashion warmth that can't be faked. The food in the restaurant was fantastic(lobster pasta dish). The overall conference set up was well done at every turn. Beds were comfortable and I had a...

Celebrated another winter birthday ski weekend. Great fun, all staff were very courteous, though most especially welcoming were bell staff and valets. Convenient to skiing, yet a good feeling of being away from it all ! Rooms comfortable, roomy and quiet. Absolutely will be back next year.

I have been here about 5 times in as many years. This is such a sweet and special place. It's historic and decadent without being pretentious at all. And the service is friendly and efficient. During our recent stay, one of the staff really impressed is with her dedication and warmth. We learned her name was Samantha and she went...

You show up and are treated well from the first moment you walk in. The doormen help you with your bags and park your car. Check in was very easy, the ladies at the front desk were pleasant and quick. The room was very clean and everything was very neatly taken care of. The spa was very nice, staff were...

It was the only resort or hotel in the state to earn AAA Four Diamond awards in both Lodging and Dining for since 2008. With stellar dining choices from the gourmet selections in the wine cellar to casual meals in the Tavern or spectacular views at the seasonal Club House and Veranda, guests find a style and price to fit their mood. With a full-time Activities Department and complimentary children's programs, guests enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, indoor and outdoor pools, a health and wellness center, golf on the resort's historic course, and four Classic Clay tennis courts. In winter, it's time for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling, and dog sled adventures. Mountain View also provides the opportunity to choose from over 500 movie selections in the in-house movie theater. Mountain View Farm features friendly animals at the Big Red Barn. Evening activities include marshmallow toasting over an open campfire. Conde Nast Traveler named Mountain View one of North America's top five resort spas for 2008. There are great views high in the landmark Tower Spa, with an infinity-edge Sok tub and side-by-side massages a specialty. The Presidential Suite has spectacular vistas, a private wet bar, fireplace, flat-screen TVs, hand-painted furniture, and a lovely dining area with French doors. The elegant master bedroom has a king-size bed and cozy window nook while the master bath features a luxury whirlpool. Business meetings are served in 20,000 square feet of flexible conference space with built-in AV equipment and reliable internet and cell phone service. Mountain View specializes in storybook weddings in the domed Crystal Ballroom with its famed hand-painted ceiling or the century-old gazebo on Grand Fountain Terrace.
