Black Bear Lodge was far from professional and accommodating. They would not allow us to check in until 4pm, even thou I had requested early check in...we had a wedding at 4pm, I was looking to get into room for pm so we could change and get ready for wedding. I was told to go use a public restroom they...

Greetings Lucie C: So concerned to hear about your recent stay and all. This is very untypical of how we are used to operating and wish you could have had a more positive stay. Guest feed back is our lifeline and I do appreciate your comments. Please feel free to contact me directly regarding a future stay. Best,

The Black Bear Lodge has quickly become our favorite family fun spot in the White Mountains. The staff is friendly & helpful, the condos and grounds are comfortable & immaculate and there is no end to the fun activities the Lodge and Waterville Valley has to offer. One tip, definitely take advantage of the Freedom Pass!

Went with my family and had a blast. The passes that you get for being a guest are very fun! The 'lake' is a bit small so paddle boarding and kayaking are quick endeavours, but still a good time. The shops that are in the town center are great for window shopping, and the restaurants and bars are well priced...

Spacious room, full kitchen was great, dishwasher, they had plates, silverware, cooking pots, clean, decent size bathroom. Staff was very nice. Pool was small, BUT they give you access to the athletic club which has a very big pool, a very short drive under 2 mins. Be weary of vacationing in in April though as much in closed attraction wise...

Hello: And thanks much for your over view of our Lodge and your stay. The kitchens do have everything you might need to make a nice meal. Glad you enjoyed the Freedom Pass to the White Mt. Athletic Club's pool. It is a great asset for us also. April can be somewhat challenging to find activities as it is the...

All the rooms at this hotel are privately owned condos. Many of them are rented through the resort. The room accomodations and updates are made by the individual unit owners. The room we stayed in, 401, was excellent and you can see the pride that the owner had in this unit. The pool was of below average quality because it...

Greetings: Yes, all of our units are independently owned and appointed. The room you were in is one of our best and we are glad you enjoyed the unit. The pool is unique as 1/2 is indoor and 1/2 is outdoor...thus the different style. However, many of our guests do enjoy swimming under the glass wall and having snow fall...

I travel for work and typically stay in full service hotels...so this was a different experience for me. The rooms and hotel are very clean, the room we had was well-appointed, and equipped with everything we needed to cook small meals. The kitchen had a full-size fridge, and full size oven...big plus! Since the rooms are independently owned it could...

We stayed here 2 week nights in February. The room was fairly clean but not spotless. Towels were plentiful and clean. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and such which was great. There was even a tea kettle for us non coffee drinkers (they only have coffee products in the lobby in the am). Bedspreads had stains. Some stains...
