My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Gilford Tavern Inn in Tamworth, NH last weekend. We had received the stay as an anniversary present from some wonderful friends, and cant't thank them enough for the experience. The Inn dates back to the 1820's and the current owners have done a marvelous job of restoring the building...

This little inn is such a wonderful find. When i looked at their website i wasn't so sure but we booked it anyways and when we reached there i was so delghtfully surprised. It's in a small village between the lakes region and the white mountains so a perfect stay if you want to go to either of those places....

We stayed at the Gilman Tavern in Oct. 2004, when we were in the area for a wedding. We were lucky to get the room, as there was nothing else available in the area. We're glad we found the Gilman Tavern Inn via word of mouth. The room we had was the Garden Room, I believe. It was cute and...
