This charming Inn in Sugar Hill NH has spectacular views with a great location close to the highway and the town of Franconia. Our rooms were delightful and the meals were great. The Innkeepers, Sally and Dick, paid attention to every detail to make for...More

I stayed for 2 nights during a record-setting cold in the area. The Inn rooms were warm and cozy, with all the amenities. The gas fireplace in my room was a plus and the Inn is immaculate. The food choices for breakfast (included) were varied...More

Hi there, we have loved Sugar Hill since 1978 with our first visit at Essie's Homestead Inn in its grand days. After Essie's death, we tried other inns that were both hit and miss. We even tried Sunset Hill House which was a disaster. In the interim, we also Stayed in Jackson with Dick and Sally at Carter Notch Inn and fell in love with their efficiency, warmth and charm, always aided by their loving sheep dog. We heard they were considering the Sunset Hill House and worried about the task ahead. How silly we were. The reviews are breathtaking and we will join you in late September for three nights. We missed the handicapped room in the hill house but Eleanor was very gracious in accommodating our needs re stairs, etc. A long way to ask if there are any pictures of Room 102 that we can see as we have booked. Happy New Year and Jim looks forward to the scones! Mary Cloud
