From its online greeting to wood paneling to honest conversation at the front desk to actual metal keys to a delicious breakfast after an unbelievably comfortable bed , this hotel makes you feel right at home and respected in every way. Goes way beyond clean and stylish. And right in the heart of Portsmouth, where great food and fun shops...

Great position in town centre, easily walkable to all the points of interest and some great restaurants to suit all budgets. We had a large comfortable room with big flat screen TV Lots of little eats plus the usual for breakfast Would have liked coffee machine in room.

The Hotel Portsmouth was lovely. It is definitely not your average cookie cutter hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The bedding was awesome! The only complaint was no coffee maker in the room, however you could get it from the dining area. I would return!

We went to Portsmouth to quietly celebrate a birthday and found the perfect spot. The hotel was perfectly sized---large enough for great services and small enough to feel like true guests. We loved Patrick who greeted us at check-in and was a presence through out the weekend. The location was excellent; we could walk everywhere but were on a quiet...

My boyfriend and I spent two nights in Portsmouth and thought this boutique hotel was perfect. The location was wonderful (no need for a car unless you are venturing out of town), the staff was pleasant, and while the room wasn't spectacular it did include a "welcome" package of cookies, a nicely furbished bathroom, a very comfy bed and an...

My husband and I stayed with our dog in a pet friendly room at this charming B&B. The location was fantastic--walking distance to everything that "downtown" Portsmouth had to offer. Our host Patrick was extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was far above "continental" and featured tidbits such as deviled eggs and caprese. One caveat: The pet friendly rooms are...

The staff were great and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. Technology all worked and was a pleasant surprise. The view was not the greatest but the location was wonderful for our needs. The place was charming and the breakfast was good

We broke a trip downeast for one night in Portsmouth and stayed at this hotel. I really wish I good give it five stars, but the reality does not measure up to the hotel's ambitions. What did we like? That it repurposes an older structure as a new commercial endeavor, that for the most part the bones of the hotel...

We're happy to hear you appreciated our great location and included breakfast, and we're sorry to hear our clean, modern style didn't appeal to you. Our rooms' design approach is for a very simple, pared down style, since the beauty of the historic building and the gorgeous original woodwork are the real standouts of the property. We normally get nothing...

This place is awesome. Can't wait to return. Great staff. Comfortable room. We only had one complaint. We left our room early one morning and when we returned early afternoon room was not made up. Other than that. This place is first class. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Portsmouth area.

Keeping it brief as I'm walking . Nice location. Super Comfy mattress. Ac cranks. Bathrooms a bit snug but the architecture of the building is what it is and the showers are great. Cozy nook rooms to gather and most importantly the staff are friendly and helpful. Patrick on arrival was wonderful. Deserves positive reviews.
