Home Hill Inn is without question one of the most charming of all New England inns. A classic Federal mansion on a hill above the Connecticut River, it was in the past a Relais & Chateaux property; the décor suits, in a French country meets New England style. The great sadness is that it closed last year, but it's likely... More

My wife and I were invited to the dinner and cocktail party at home hill on January 31 for a farewell salute. After nearly 20 years, the owner has decided to put this beautiful property up for sale. We have been going to Home Hill since 1984 and have never been disappointed with the charm, the property and especially the... More

Mostly a lovely stay. Nice location during fall season, although may be a little out of the way for some. Room fine, perhaps a slight revamp would be good....one or two odd features such as a pelmet that stopped the curtains closing fully. Facilities for tea and coffee making in the room would have been useful especially as we were... More

We stayed at the Home Hill in April 2012 and again in November 2013. Each time the Inn was lovely and the restaurant superb. It is a quiet romantic place to stay. And I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone passing anywhere nearby.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of October. The inn is situated on a quite road in woodland near the Connecticut River. All is peaceful apart from the distant noise from the interstate! Our room was in the coach house and was well appointed but slightly shabby e.g broken window blind, no plug in wash hand basin, rusty... More

We attended their Cider Fest which was a very nice event. We paid an entrance fee and a separate fee for food. We also purchased drink tickets. Being so cold we opted to leave early, leaving us with 4 unused drink tickets @ $4 each. We asked if we could be refunded for the drink tickets and we were told... More

My wife and I traveled to this B&B in the fall peak season near White River Junction and the Connecticut River. Greeted warmly by Jeff at this quiet classic New England gem. Tucked away on a country road and accessible to major roads. Nice amenities with tennis court, pool (outdoor, closed while we were there), bicycles to use and walking... More

Stayed at the Inn with my daughter a few weekends ago. It was a lovely experience all in all. The grounds were beautiful, so nice for a walk and the rooms were very comfortable. We dined at the restaurant in the evening and had a wonderful meal - a superb beet salad, the flat bread for my daughter, and out... More

My husband and I met up with two friends for a weekend in New Hampshire at the beginning of August, to see the Saint-Gaudens National Park and to relax and catch up. The Home Hill Inn was the perfect place for the occasion. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace and the relaxed dining--an excellent charcuterie plate that was plenty for... More
