My husband, me and daughter spent 2 nights here to attend our son's graduation and everything was absolutely perfect! Check-in with Lee was very smooth and he was friendly and made us feel at home. We met George, later that afternoon and he was just AWESOME!!! He brought us to the college on a couple of occasions and even to...

I've consistently gone to this place not just for its outstanding room prices; but the people who run, work, and keep the Inn in it's condition are some of the most kind and helpful people I've experienced. They keep it professional and take what they do seriously while having an easy and comforting style. One of my favorite places and...

Driving north on US 89 in the middle of a snow storm, at 10:45 I realized I wasn't going to make it to my destination and didn't want to spend the next few hours in the storm. This being near. They answered the phone - and said they always do on a night like this. Half an hour later, I...

My husband and I were returning from a getaway vacation in Montreal with our two children. We were in basically the middle of nowhere when it began to rain and sleet. The roads started getting icy and we were concerned that we would not make it safely back to Massachusetts. We took a chance on the first lodging that we...

The owner, George, is such an incredibly lovely person who welcomes you as if you are family. This Inn is lovely and close to many of the beautiful shops in the area. My husband and I fell in love with everything about it. I highly recommend it!

We were spending a couple days in New London, and since it was very hot, we decided to spend the night in a motel instead of a relative's vacant, non-air conditioned house. The Lamplighter was conveniently located and reasonably priced. It was a good choice. The room was clean and comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. We were...

Was tired of driving and went to the Inn based on recommendation of a local gas station. Older facility; however, very well maintained, very clean, very large room, TV, and air conditioning. Only $99 total. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife left an outfit in a drawer and they mailed it home.It does not get any better.

We were driving through the area at night and got to this motel based on recommendations from the nearby gas station. An older motel but the rooms were clean and everything was in working order. You could tell the owners were attentive in upkeep. Nice selection for the continental breakfast, and the friendly owner offered advice on several local attractions,...

We were making last-minute plans for a trip to New London, and the folks at the Lamplighter could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. On top of that, the morning coffee provided was of the highest quality.

“This is a true mom & pop, so the desk is only staffed for limited hours (6:00 am to 8:00 pm??) If you arrive in the middle of the night, I suspect you'll find the "No Vacancy" sign hanging in the darkened office window.”
