It's a bit pricey for the area, but the interior and service are worth it. We visited during bike week and it was a beautiful, quiet hideaway in the trees with a great view of Squam Lake. The staff/owners provide exceptional, personal service. We had the same woman wait on us in the wood paneled bar, and in the evening...

Went for a conference and the boyfriend came with. Driving up, I thought - ugh - this place isn't as nice as I thought it would be. But by the time we left, I had such affection for the place and the people - that I was able to see the stateliness that I overlooked at first approach. I came...

We hosted a small 3-day conference at the Inn in June. The personal service and attention to detail could not have been better. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food fabulous. The Inn also made arrangements for a wonder private boat tour on the lake through the Science Center for the group, which was enjoyed by all. The...

The owners took care of everything from the ljustice of the peace to the flowers & pictures & wedding cake! We had a beautiful ceremony in front of the fireplace, a champagne toast and a seven course tasting menu...

The name is a little misleading but the inn is beautiful. Rooms are lovely and its definitely romantic, fireplaces, jacuzzis. Breakfast was great but the tasting dinner was only mediocre and I wish we had just gone done the road for burgers.

This beautiful hotel in Holderness, NH, is located on Squam Lake where the movie, "On Golden Pond" was filmed. We've stayed there in October (leaves) and January (snow) and would heartily recommend The Manor to anyone, anytime! The owners, Brian and Mary Ellen, are excellent hosts and have obviously chosen staff members who share their penchant for hospitality and comfort....

My husband and I decided to book a last minute weekend getaway for some relaxation and romance in January. The Manor was perfect. Our room had a fireplace (we made 4 fires that weekend!) and a huge bathtub. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The wine list was very good for New Hampshire and the food was great. The...

The owners and staff of the Manor make this already wonderful place even more amazing. They were helpful, friendly, caring (when our car broke down), and accommodating (vegan tasting menu in the dining room, special dessert for my husband's birthday, help in planning nearby activities). If you want a cozy, charming place with great food and a terrific staff (just...
