Open year round, Ashworth by the Sea offers friendly New England hospitality in an elegant, boutique setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We've maintained the historical aspects of the hotel, which has been a Hampton Beach Landmark for the past 100 years, and our recent renovation has updated the hotel with all the modern conveniences and amenities today's traveler expects. Ashworth by the Sea offers captivating views overlooking award-winning beaches, as well as creative dining, superior service, well-appointed rooms, and a superb location on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. We look forward to welcoming you to our beach hotel. With New Hampshire's only sandy beach just outside your front door, the hotel has been designed to provide a tranquil seaside retreat. Stay with us, and you'll enjoy elegantly furnished guestrooms, three restaurants offering some of the finest dining on Hampton Beach, and effortless access to the area's prime attractions, including Odiorne Point, Rye Harbor and the Kittery Outlets. A wide variety of family amusements including a water park, zoo, museums, the Casino Ballroom concert arena, and tax-free shopping, are all within minutes of our doors. Relax and enjoy the ocean views from your private balcony, or take a dip in our refreshing heated pool before strolling off to discover one of the many fine shops or historical sites nearby. With over 6,000 square feet of event space and five dynamic function rooms, Ashworth by the Sea is a top destination for weddings, social gathering and corporate meetings on Hampton Beach and the Seacoast. Ashworth by the Sea is the perfect destination for romantic getaways, family vacations, girlfriends' shopping weekends, or corporate retreats. While many Hampton Beach hotels close once the summer rush is over, Ashworth by the Sea welcomes guests throughout the year, making us ideal for travelers who prefer to enjoy the quieter, off-season side of the New England coast in the cooler months.

The General Manager, Front Desk Managers, Dining Waitress were outstanding. They all went beyond the call by:
1st - General Manager updated my room to a Ocean View & allowed me a late checkout (Note: this is not peak season but still, the Manager did not need to do it.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with all...I never tire of hearing about the outstanding work that the Ashworth Team does for it's Guests. It may be the quiet season on the beach but the service needs to be 'in season' all the time. Again, thank you and we look forward to your next visit! A very happy holiday season to you and yours!!

The front desk can set the tone for your stay good, or in this case, bad. We are longtime loyal customers - but will now rethink where we head for our next fall / winter getaway. I had booked in Sept. for this trip after receiving a room offer with food voucher via email - but wh

Was here for one night only. The hotel is divided into two buildings, I think they identify them as 'east' and 'west'. Overall I found the staff friendly and helpful. There was an overly strong scent (meant to be fragrant) in the entry which I found it off-putting but that's a mi

Hello and Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay. Very nice to hear the positive comments regarding out staff...I believe they do a good job and are sincerely hospitable. I appreciated your comments about the property and many of them we very true. We are looking forward to starting a renovation of the guest rooms and guest areas this coming winter and many of the areas mentioned will be updates, new and more contemporary. This time of the year i find our rates to be very competitive and as you stated, you are directly on the beach. Obviously in summer season rates can be higher than some of the local motels, but we are the only full service hotel on the entire beach. We will continue to improve our operations and again your comments will certainly help us focus on need areas. Thanks again and I look forward to you visiting us again and seeing how we have improved! Best Regards.

We stayed in August for 2 nights. We have been going to Hampton for our entire lives and had never stayed there, I really is a very expensive hotel, so you must be getting a great room. Well we did see the ocean , and the ugly roof, I was not impressed. I don't need to go ba

Dear Susan R, Thanks for the comments and sorry that you did not like your room...sounds like you were in the South Tower. Yes, they do have smaller rooms and they are sold at a reduced rate. Our North Tower rooms are larger and a little more modern, can have balconies that are 'exterior' and no roof views and again at good rates during the off season. We plan on renovating room over the winter so I hope you can check us out then. Again, always welcome comments as they help us to better manage this property and I listen to the Guests. Hope to have you visit again!

Mr. Bailly, thanks for reaching out to us and I apologize that your stay was not as restful as you expected. I certainly appreciate your comments about the hotel and the staff. With regard to the noise complaint, it was noted that there were noise complaints that evening and our security did address the concerns immediately. I also do apologize for some Guests that simply do not get it...they do not respect the other Guests in the hotel and and it it left to the hotel staff to manage them as well. I believe that we do a pretty good job of addressing this, especially on the weekends where this is more frequent. I would also say that your overall comment regarding the hotel and staff is more representative of who we are and how we operate. I would like the opportunity to have you visit again to restore your faith in that belief. Feel free to contact me directly to assist with a return visit if that is something you would be interested in. This hotel does have that 'get away for the weekend' reputation and most Guests do that and have a great experience. I certainly cannot go backwards, but always ahead! Thanks, Norm
