A most beautiful house surrounded by greenery just 10 mins from downtown Portsmouth, with excellent hosts in Steve and Julia, who really made us and the children feel completely at home. We are a family of 4 and stayed at the house for a week - a record we were told at the end of our stay. The accommodation was...

Our second visit to the 1810 Pickering House proved just as comfortable, relaxing, and convenient as our first. Once again, Steve and Julia did all they could to make our stay a truly wonderful weekend. In addition to providing excellent recommendations for activities and dining, we were treated to phenomenal breakfasts (awesome home-grown maple syrup). The new Inn dog, Marley,...

The 1810 Pickering House is a quiet retreat from bustling Portsmouth, NH. My husband and I call it our "home away from home" when visiting Portsmouth, a town that we love, with it's water views, historic sites, and wonderful restaurants. Coming to the beautifully appointed home of Julia, Steve, and Marley after a busy day is a joy. We have...

This was our first ever experience at a B&B and a great one at that. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated and the hosts are perfect. Stayed here just for a night but hope to go back. We highly recommend it.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the 1810 Pickering House, a short 10-minute drive from historic Portsmouth. The innkeepers, Steve and Julia, were very hospitable and accommodating, and it was nice to come back to a quiet rural neighborhood after an evening walking around bustling, somewhat noisy Portsmouth. The room and private bath were spotless, and the bed was...

Steve and Julia the proprietors of the 1810 Pickering House are very warm and make you feel at home. They asked us what we'd like for breakfast, tailoring the meal to our food requirements (we were the only customers that night). We had made the reservation on short notice because of a change of plans and we appreciated that they...

Stayed here last weekend for our son's wedding. Only 3 bedrooms and it worked out perfectly as 2 other couples, old friends of ours, stayed there as well. we had the place to ourselves. Steve and Julie are great hosts and the whole place is wonderful. Only minutes from 95 and 10 mins from downtown Portsmouth with country club almost...

Stayed here for a 50th birthday getaway. Steve and Julia sent us to the most amazing restaurants... trust their recommendations - they know great food! They were also fabulously accommodating about chilling champagne for us had it waiting in an ice bucket to take to our room when we returned in the evening. They even served it with their crystal...

We love to stay at B&Bs when we go away on weekend trips, and my fiance and I loved the 1810 Pickering House. The place was gorgeous, the suite was big, clean, and very comfortable, and Steve and Julia were wonderful hosts. We were less than a 5 minute drive to Portsmouth, which is where we wanted to be close...

We spent our honeymoon at the 1810 Pickering House. It was WONDERFUL. Steve and Julia were so accommodating – it felt like home! The food was fantastic. The room was comfortable with A LOT of character – which was what drew us. The pictures on the web page don’t properly convey the coziness. I (the bride) LOVE B & Bs...
