My experience at waterloo is terrible. You book your room when you turn up they don't have the room you booked available, the one they do have doesn't have ac nor fan, the pool not working they do not do room service after certain hours😟 over all it sucks.

We stopped at Waterloo Guest House for something to eat, Black River has changed in recent years and one of my favourite places had closed down. There was a real ambience inside and we were greeted with a smile and really good customer service. They had a good variety of food on the menu, this included peppered steak and some... More

I really wanted to stay in the old house but learned the rooms are in a different structure behind the house. Once I arrived, it's clear the main house is not in good shape for renting out. The room I had, did have a tv, window ac and a refrigerator. Stacy Ann was working the bar, showed us the room,... More

I was booked to stay at Waterloo Guest House with relatives during our island tour and was really looking forward to being in this historic building. We all read the reviews and felt satisfied that we were making the right choice. We wondered about the total lack of professionalism in our attempt to make the booking but put that down... More

The main house is a wonderful historic colonial style building. I've stayed there many times in the first floor rooms but at the time of my last visit they were closed and renovation in progress. The modern rooms to the rear consist of bedroom and bathroom, have a/c and cable TV. Our generously sized room had two very comfortable double... More

The Waterloo sets the standard for all other guesthouses on the Island. It's the 1st house to get electricity in Jamaica. How's that for bragging rights? When I was there I actually felt like I was experiencing another culture and not just any other standard hotel. It's right across the street from the Caribbean Sea......walk about 100 feet and your... More

She stated that she had never had a wedding there, but she would accomodate us in any way she could if we wanted to have it there. And she did exactly that!!! My wedding was... More
